Ben, Put in a refund request through GearBest and not Paypal. I got my return from Paypal within 24 hours.
I will try.
Gearbest told me i could wait longer or do an exchange for a different product…. which pissed me off.

I just updated my open complaint ticket with them saying i wanted a refund after they said that was not an option.I will relay what they say.

Really!? They will not refund you? I have also asked for a refund after waiting over 2 weeks I’ve had enough. If they don’t refund you open a PayPal dispute and you’ll see that refund pretty quick I think.
It’s now National Holidays in China so replies will be slower than normal, like our Xmas period.

Please support us and help keep TechTablets online. Affiliate revenue is used to pay for the server, studio apartment (Techtablets HQ) and buy new tech to review. Without it, this site would be dead.

Really!? They will not refund you? I have also asked for a refund after waiting over 2 weeks I’ve had enough. My initially ticket they said i had two options wait or store credit. I have since messaged them 3 times with no response. I have already opened a dispute with Paypal but was told they have 10 days to provide a tracking number.
Which means i don’t dare by it somewhere else or i might end up with two.
Very very disappointed in GearBest.
October 3, 2015 at 2:55 am #12471First time poster here… just wanted to share that I finally got mine today. I ordered on September 14 from Shenzhen OKQI Electronics Mall with free regular shipping. Had to change language settings to English on the Android side but Win 10 was already installed with English language pack. Everything seems to be working but noticed that it’s only detecting my wireless-g and not my wireless-n access point. I thought this tablet had b/g/n support?

Also wifi has to be manually turn off in both OS even if selected to turn off in sleep mode. Battery will drain fast if wi-fi left on all the time.

i see, no wonder many reports battery drain fast, so wi fi is the cause.
October 3, 2015 at 3:24 pm #12505So now they’re saying Oct.7 ! They stopped answering my questions.
I ordered mine on Sept. 14, they were supposed to ship it in the next 3 days, they kept on pushing, then they said they’ll get the stock at the end of September, and September ended and still nothing from them. I asked them to cancel my order and refund me they’re not answering this request. Worst experience I ever had with a Chinese re-seller.
I am going to report them to Paypal and hope for the best.
Anyone got their money back through Paypal ?

October 3, 2015 at 10:00 pm #12526To repeat an earlier post, I opened a ticket “cancel my order and refund to my paypal account” and Gearbest had acted within 2 hours. It showed on my Paypal account as refunded, and then a few days later on my credit card activity. However, I was one of the first to do this. The international news is that China is having financial problems: smaller companies are even more vulnerable to downturns.
About Paypal, I know when using it that its protection is worthless. I lost $300 several years ago when Paypal sided with the exporter when I was sent an incorrect order. The exporter simply never responded to me and Paypal used an automated process to decline my refund – I don’t think a human being actually ever looked at the dispute! My credit card company (VISA) said I could file a dispute with them, but I realized even if I won with VISA, Paypal would cancel my account: at that time, about the only way you could conveniently order from China was with Paypal.
October 4, 2015 at 12:26 am #12530FWIW, I ordered an X98 Pro from Alliexpress, Shenzhen OKQI Electronics Mall, on Sept 25th. On Sept 27th I was given a bogus tracking number with the explanation that the order was shipped but it would take DHL 24 hours to get them the real tracking number. I got the updated tracking number on the 28th and it was listed as “Shipment information received” until October 2nd (in China) when DHL actually got it. It has passed through customs in LA and is estimated to be here in Hawaii on Wednesday.
Which is a long winded way of saying that a tablet was shipped so that store, at least, had some at that time. Right on target with the listed handling and shipping times on the product page.
October 4, 2015 at 4:56 am #12537I put in for a refund from gearbest through PayPal and the response that I got was that they were getting them “soon”. So would I like to wait or get a refund…
Considering I already said refund you would think the answer was obvious. Well I responded and said refund, again, and haven’t heard back.
I guess I’ll see if they respond after the holiday…
October 5, 2015 at 6:52 am #12616I placed my order through GearBest on the 14th of September, they were supposed to ship it directly, then after a couple of days, my order was still processing, I contacted them and they told me they’ll ship it at the end of the month. After the end of September, the product was still not shipped so I asked them for a refund and they stopped answering my requests and tickets.
Worst experience buying stuff from China ever, one thing I know I am never using Gearbest again.
October 5, 2015 at 12:39 pm #12634it seems they dont have stock, i wrote to them ask them when are they going to ship they say i will need to wait for one week.
Then in another paragraph they say if wanted to refund, they will add it to my wallet which is point base system in their website, WTH! I want my money back if not shipped not some useless points since I am not going to buy from them anymore
