    Hi Filippo,

Maybe you can check, what Wifi-Hardware you have. You don´t have to have the same Hardware as me.

mine is using Realtek RTL8723B over USB2.0.

    Driverdetails are:

Realtek Semiconductor Corp., Date 25.12.2017, Version 1030.25.701.2017.

    it uses rtlwlan.sys and wifibus.sys.

From other Systems i know, that sometimes Energy save modes disconnect the wlan, reconnect may end in error. perhaps you can try to deactivate Power saving of the Wifi.. But only a idea.

Also it could be, that Bluetooth Connected to your Jumper makes error, because RTL8723B is a shared Hardware for both.

At this time, i don´t more suggestions, hope you can solve your Wifi.

    Hello Filippo,

first try to catch if the error depends in special wifi channels, you can monitor it easyly by using a wifi analyser on a Android Smartphone. Maybe CH 13 vor 14 is in use, some wifi receiver dont work with them. In my Router i dissabled ch13 and 14, because my webcams can’t Connect to Them with simmilar errors like you have.

    Pls tell results..

    Ok, i try to explain:

Before you try to boot from USB, i have to warn you about the black screen you will get if you follow my instruction!

If you don´t have a Micro HDMI cable to a TV Set, you won´t be able to restore anything, if something went wrong. You also Need this HDMI Cable to make your Settings in BIOS. If you have a Cable, connect it to a TV Set or other HDMI Input device and try if you get Picture of your Pad. Not only from Windows, also from the Bios Screen.

If this works, you can go further.

Enter Bios (hope you see it now on your TV Set:-) ). Go to Chipset – South Bridge – OS Selection. In here there should be “Windows”. If you´re unsure, here is my 2nd Warning: Changeing this item will dark your Screen an the Pad, only HDMI will work. I choose here “Intel Linux” to boot Grub from a USB Stick.

By the Way, installing a Linux. Android, Remix OS from USB works fine, but to get back to useable Pad, you have to switch the OS Selction back to Windows. This is the only Way i found to boot with Screen on the Tablet. But other´s (non Win)OS may then no more boot. ( I spend many Day´s on it)

This Tablet seems only to Boot from a EFI Loader. MBR Loaders hang up at boot.

The only way of Dualboot i managed by now is by the newest Android X86 (Oreo)and it´s Grub Loader.

But theres a Little Bug with WIFI, witch isn´t easy for me to solve. (Realtek RTL 8723 Bug with Antenna selction). You don´t have Wifi. But a nice Grub Loader which boot with Setting in Bios OS Selection “Windows”.

P.S. Disable in Bios “Quiet Boot” , “Fast Boot”, and set “Setup Prompt Timeout” to 3s. You have then 3 sec. time to select Boot OS by Pressing “F7”.

Good luck. If you brick your Tab, please don´t make me responsible for it. (The Jumper Bios is merciless).

    Hello Hung,

well, i´m sorry for this late Reply.

I haven´t solved this issue in Bios, i only deactivate the items in my device Manager.

The unknown devices are not realy present in the System, they only activate in the Bios Settings. But i realy don´t  know how to find them in Bios.

By deactivate them in the Device Manager, the System works with no error.

If you try to find them please be VERY CAREFUL, this Bios is nearly like dangerous.. One wrong Setting can dark your Screen after reboot. If this happens, you will Need a HDMI cable to a tv set with HDMI Input.

Thats also the reason, why a Dualboot with e.g. Android Fails.

    O.K,

now i´m in Need for help from you, hope you can help me.

pls open your dev.Man, and Switch the viewing to “Devices as Connection”. (I dont know if this the right spelling, in yours Language Settings )

Now you may search for a entry Named “Intel(R)-I2C Hostcontroller xxxxxxxx -5AAE”. If you expand this, what do you find there? Which Driver running on it? (in my System unkown device, so no Driver chooseable).

Same Question to  “Intel(R)-I2C Hostcontroller xxxxxxxx -5ABA”. Here i have Camera, Intel Logic Control, and one more unknown device, which i want to know which Driver to choose.

    Thanks,

    Best Regards

Do you have a “KMDF HID Minidriver for Touch I2C Device”in your Dev.Man.  and if yes, which Driver does it use?

Like MisterEd say´s, it is a Realtek8723B via USB2.0 in mine.

It could be that the Error is in the USB Pipe ( dont get me wrong, i know that the Hardware is installed inside, but its connectet to an internal usb Hub, which Needs any Driver too).

So to make it short, here are your Drivers. All.

    drivers for EZPad 6 PRO

Inside the Subfolder “Net” you see the Driver for the usb too.

Maybe you have to uninstall the Driver first, (not only deaktivate, i mean you have to tell the devicemanager to remove the Driver out of the System.)

    Have fun.

Why  you want to “restore”, i dont understand the Reason for doing this with Double Driver. Unpack my ZIP in any HDDFolder or USB drive, and tell the Devicemanager where to search for ( manually update Driver) and in File Dialog browse to the Folder, where the Subfolders with the Drivers are. Check Box” Search in Subfolders” should be tagged.

Do this for each errored Device, some are needed to rebbot, but mostly all works.

    So did i.

Upgrades to my EZpad 6 Pro FYI

Yes, and only for the 6 pro. I´d saved it with DoubleDriver before i installed win 10 Pro on my new SSD..(more about in  my Post)..

Have Fun, but remember: 2 Devices will stay in Error, because there wasn´t a Driver before… But doesnt matter. Everything works fine.

My Next Step will bring Android 7.1 in parallel Mode, or even in VirtualBox.

    Hello all,

now i´m ready with my upgrade of my EZPAD 6 pro. I´d like to show you what i´ve done, and how. I made some mistakes and want you not to do the same.

It´s necessary to have a external Keyboard witch is recognised by the BIOS, if you can not enter your BIOS: STOP here! ( I bought my Device with opt. Keyboard and didn´t try any other Keyboards like USB etc.)

Micro HDMI Cable to TV Set can help, if you make Errors in Bios Settings, an have then no LCD anymore…( I know, what to to wrong….:-( )

But First, my Aim was to speed up the System and getting more Space on HDD. So I installed a 256GB Trekstore SSD. This was not so difficult, but open the Case to remove the Backcover broke the Conector of the keypad. So be carefull when open the Backcover and leave the 4 Screws on the lower side installed untill you have opend the top, the left and right side. Start with the top side. When done remove the screws and pull off the backcover in direktion the keybord conectors shows. ( The conector gets throu the cover so you have to pull the cover over the conector.)

After install the ssd, reassembe in backwards order.

Now i had to look into the BIOS to see, if the ssd is recognised. You find it under “Chipset – South Cluster Configuration – SATA Drives”

Go into it and found! Just Switch “SATA Device Type” to “Solid State Drive”.

I didn´t want to leave the chinese OS on the device, i prefered Win 10 pro, so Bitlocker and Domain Login is there available.

But for fallback Needs, i leave the emmc untouched.

So first is to disable the eMMC in Bios, you find it under “Chipset – South Cluster Configuration – SCC Configuration – SCC eMMC Support” and set it to disable. If SCC SDIO Support is already enable, disable it too.

Prepare a Win 10 USB Bootstick with the Windows Media Creator Tool. Mount the stick at a running Win PC, open the FileExplorer to look in the Stick. Search for a Folder named “Sources” and open it. Here you create a new Textfile named “ei.cfg” and open it with a Texteditor. Write in it:

    [EditionID]
    Professional
    [Channel]
    Retail
    [VL]
    0

and save it. Be sure the Name is not “ei.cfg.txt” , just “ei.cfg”.

This will bring you direkt to Win 10 Pro, otherwise Win will install Home Edition.

If you want, you can also do with with your Win 10 Pro Product Key:

In Folder Sources generate a txt File named ” PID.txt” and edit it with:

    [PID]
    Value=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

where the Xes are your key.

    Save all, remove the Stick.

Insert the Stick at your EZPad an Power on, Start BIOS and Change Boot Options #1 to Boot your Stick.

I choosed the 64Bit Version, because all my Driver i have are 64Bit.

Win Setup will start, i had to delete all the Partions on my SSD and create new. Win will create so all nessesary Partions.

While install, dont give your WIfi Password, just scip this item.

After Install is ready, check all devices. You will find many error in the device Manager. But dont worry, you already have all Driver on your eMMC!

So, back to BIOS and turn the eMMC on again, reboot, again to Bios an check the first Boot Order ist Windows Bootmanager of your SSD ( Bios Shows also the Boot Manager of the eMMC, the right(new) Bootmanager is ” Windows Boot Manager (P0: )”)

Reboot Windows and look for the eMMC as second Storage. Maybe you have to allow the File Explorer to Show hidden and Systems File. Inhere you will have the old Windows Folder, your Drivers are in Subfolder \system32. From here you can install all Devices,

In my Systems there are two devices missing, somehow like I2C devices. But they also missed in OEM Win. So dont worry, this seems to be normal.

If you are not satisfied with your work, just Change Boot Order back to your eMMC, and all will be the old OEM System.

Finaly here some Fakts of the results:

Write and Read Speeds eMMC(Drive D) vs SSD(Drive C): (winsat disk -seq read -drive c)

(winsat disk -seq read -drive c)</span> : 527.58MB/s (Index 8.1)

(winsat disk -seq write -drive c): 416.71MB/s (Index 8.0)

(winsat disk -seq read -drive d): 145.51MB/s (Index 7.1)

(winsat disk -seq write -drive d): 15.37MB/s (Index 3.3) (and no, this not a typing error)….

Thanks for reading this, and please don´t make me responsible for any dammage at your Hard and Software. This is not a Tutorial!!

    Bye

    Andi

P.S: I made Pictures of all BIOS Screens before i startet. (Qick´n dirty by Smartphone Cam.)
