For my device it did, because it increased my average framerate by about 10-15% (from 30-35fps to 40-45fps).

@georgo85 I read that with some devices, such as yours, there might be a power draw limit in the EC (Embedded Controller) on the motherboard. Not much you can do about it. @Barry Thomson What F15 model do you have? The K3D5 or the K3D8? You can see which one on the base of the laptop or in the BIOS (press Esc at boot).

For the Teclast F15 model, the keyboard shortcut to turn on the 2 levels of keyboard backlighting is Fn + Esc.
