Works – Battery Gauge, Brightness change, suspend

Partially works – Bluetooth after adding file from https://github.com/pfeerick/linux-build/raw/master/package/root/etc/firmware/BCM4343A0%2026M.hcd /lib/firmware/brcm/BCM4343A0.hcd

Don’t Work – Wifi, Audio – seems like wifi is not detected since mmc1 is disabled. Can’t figure out how to enable it.

    Didn’t check – Hibernate

I’ve run pretty much every version since 4.8 – so I can confirm this bug exists in all versions upto 4.19.8.

There could be other fixes that might have something to do with the touchpad working now – but hid_multitouch needs to be blacklisted. I haven’t tested blacklisting with the older versions.

Perhaps someone can and post results here.

Anyhow, hopefully, this solves a major issue.

The wifi is an AP6212 – that should be supported by brcmfmac. However, it’s not detected at all. Something to do with the SDIO settings most probably.

Maybe people can experiment with the SDIO setup in the BIOS to see if PCI mode help with the wifi chip being detected.

Got the touchpad working. In retrospect it was so simple …..

All you need to do is blacklist hid_multitouch on archlinux. Should be the same on all other distributions.

    😉

    Hi,

Can someone check whether the file /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/nvram-74b00bd9-805a-4d61-b51f-43268123d113 is available?

An alternate is to get it from the the win partition at \windows\system32\drivers\4345r6nvram.txt.

This is a required file to get the wifi working.

I’ve overwritten my win10 partition – so I don’t have access to this file. Perhaps someone can help by sharing it?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I’ve been running arch linux on this device for some time now. I’m using the latest mainline kernel 4.13-rc7.

    The following don’t work :-

    a) Touchpad

    b) Wifi / Bt

    c) Sound

Everything else  works fine, including suspend.

The touchpad seems a non standard device and is not supported by libinput. Sound needs es8316 support which is available in the kernel (4.13) but probably needs more configuration.

I’m primarily interested in the wifi for now. I can’t find the /sys/firmware/efi/efivars/nvram-74b00bd9-805a-4d61-b51f-43268123d113 file. Apparently that needs to be copied to /lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b4sdio.txt fot the wifi to work.

Can someone please upload this file somewhere I can access?

    Thanks.
