I discussed the same problem in a different post earlier, and I have the same problem with mine. In Android mine drain the battery very fast in standby and will not live many days in just standby, it is better in Windows, but not that good there either. Wifi stays on all the time, both in Android and Windows, so that could not be the reason for the differences. I have read some place that Android 5 has a problem with standby drain, so that might be the case.
March 3, 2016 at 8:55 am #27857I have the A5C8 and ~8 hours seems right. It’s just my second full charge though so this might change in the future. It seems Android drains more battery than Win but I’ll need more time to check. Emil, standby in Win or Android?
My experience is from Android, have not used Windows much yet. Mainly use the tablet for web browsing and think Android is best for it.
March 3, 2016 at 7:24 am #27846The battery operation time of my X98 plus is quite well, but the I have a problem with standby time on mine.
Others of you have a low standby time? In standby it does not live many days before the battery is drained, not sure about the percent but I think if I have 20% in the evening the tablet is drained over the night to the morning and need to be charged before I can turn it on.
Compared to my Teclast T98 tablet I had from earlier, the tablet could stay with 20% in standby in a week.February 27, 2016 at 12:12 pm #27230I always turn off the animation scale in Android to make it feel smoother, you will find the animation scale option under developer options. if you don’t have the developer options go to about device and click on Build number 7 times to activate the developer option. For Windows I turn off shadows, etc to give best performance.
February 26, 2016 at 7:15 pm #27196You might be right, but when PayPal claims that I have to pay $40 for returning shipment it feels like they rules against me. The return shipment refund program is quite new, and it doesn’t mean you will have return shipment refunded, so I would say it is a quite large risk to return something when you might have to pay for it yourself.
After some days when my X98 plus have been lying around without the back cover on and not be used, all the stripes on my screen is gone, no sign of them either.
February 25, 2016 at 11:26 am #27014Don’t be fooled by paypal’s coverage, it is worth nothing, seller wins each time.
I will speculate that paypal chooses the customer which is there best customer, which I’m not as a average buyer compared to Chinese seller that are selling thousands of items each day and get paid through paypal. Therefore paypal has much more to lose if the seller that sells thousands of items each day stop using paypal than if I do.
I have had several cases that I never came to a sufficient agreement with seller and escalate it to paypal and they concludes that I have to send the item back to seller and cover the return shipment by my own. The cheapest shipment I can get with tracking is $40 so returning a item will be huge loss for me.Anyway, to the tablet. I also received a X98 plus with horizontal stripes as others did, still fighting with BG for a sufficient solution.
BG suggested to send new screen that I have to change or have a repair shop to do so, but they don’t want to pay for the repair, not a bit.
Or they wanted it in return for repairing but would not pay for the return shipment, which will cost me $40.
There is no problem for me to change the screen, but I don’t want to spend time to do so if I don’t get anything compensation for it, the Chinese can’t just send crap without taking any cost or responsibility afterwards.Attachments:
