Is it possible to use Gray’s image on a type-c model? And does it support disk encryption?
August 29, 2016 at 11:12 pm #48425Isn’t it easier/possible to just flash the supersu.zip through recovery?
Are there any problems with this image? Does the Camera work for example?
August 29, 2016 at 10:37 am #48360Hi!
I had a look at the tbook10 reviews and specs and here are the differences:
- iwork10 keyboard has 6 rows instead of 5 on the tbook10 one. More keys are better for me.
- bigger 7500mah internal battery on the iwork10. Lasts 5-6 hours depending on your workload.
- iwork10 takes like 5 hours to charge with 5V/2A. tbook10 has a 9V/2A plug and should be faster
- smaller ~1mm gap between glass and screen (~2-2.5mm on the tbook)
- the emmc is made by toshiba. not very fast but ok for me http://imgur.com/tmTmjPY. i think the tbook has a noname one.
- they both weight ~600grams
- no problems with android here
- the microsd card reader breaks after some time for many people. (this is the only major problem for me)
- otherwise the specs are the same. z8300 / 4gb / 64gb / same screen
I am happy with the iwork10, others are not. Just look through this forum. You cant just expect a surface/premium experience for this price.
August 29, 2016 at 10:19 am #48358The only thing the Type C port can be used for is charging. Nothing else. Not even OTG. Tried and tested.
That is wrong. I can plug usb drives into the type c port using an adapter. Haven’t tested for usb3 speed.
August 27, 2016 at 6:36 pm #48193I only found this expensive one. It’s probably cheaper to buy a defect unit with working touchscreen.
August 27, 2016 at 5:19 pm #48184I had no problems this week with DVFS enabled and A frequency set to 1600. Both android and windows work fine even on standby.
August 27, 2016 at 5:17 pm #481831 Amp is probably not enough for this tablet to hold its charge.
I have no problems charging it with a xiaomi 10400mah battery.
August 27, 2016 at 5:13 pm #48182Mine takes ~5h to fully charge. It draws ~1.78A using a xiaomi 2A 5V charger. Using an other usb-c cable makes no difference.
Doing the math:
Battery: 3.7 V * 7.5 Ah = 27.75 Wh
Charging: 5V * 1.78 A = 8.9 W
27.75 Wh / 8.9 W = 3.11 hoursThats the minimum duration assuming 100% efficiency and no idle draw.
