Hey Michael that’s really wierd, normally you should see a bunch of partitions , format them all so there is only one fat 64gb one. If you only have one there is a problem, mind making a screesnhot?
November 4, 2016 at 1:02 pm #56412Hey Robertson, your issue is 100% firmware. All you have to do is create a usb drive with rufus, you download the iso of wibdows 10 x64 with the microsoft tool, then on rufus you select the iso, choose GPT for UEFI then create the drive, then plug it it on the tab, press esc on boot, boot devices and USB. It should be detected (i did it on my tbook 10 as well).
For the rest well, this tablet is crap. The aluminium battery keyboard never came, some people have one but it is more or less defective they actually sold the defective ones, then they released standard leather keyboard as a replacement.
Other than that, you can’t charge the tablet troough dc while using OTG function, complmtetely absurd. The WiFi signal is ver very poor due to the all metal case, and the speakers are just lame.
I got a cube i10 for 120$ keyboard and tablet on gearbest, it has DC charging, full size USB, micro USB, kack, Mini HDMI and everything. And sincerelly, it runs way smoother than the tbook 10, thanks to the 1366×768 resolution, wich is more than enough on windows for 10.6 inch. The 2gb of ram runs at 1333mhz, and the emmc drive is actually not bad. Far better than the tbook 10
October 20, 2016 at 8:58 pm #55296Yo again Jozsef! I guess its better if we talk on this post lol! So you’re saying your tbook 10 charges trough DC port while using micro usb ports for OTG (mouse, usb stick etc??), this is weird, i got 2 tbook 10 and i can’t do that on both of them. It must be a problem they fixed on the newer versions… If i understand, you have the leather keyboard? Personally, i kind of gave up on this tablet, but i bought 2 of them (for me and a gift for my mother), 300 bucks kind of waisted, and i feel bad for my mother LOL (but i doubt she will notice the problem considering her use of her tablet)
October 20, 2016 at 8:53 pm #55295Hey Jozsef, so your tbook 10 can charge trough DC while using the micro usb ports for OTG? It must be a different batch…Windows should recognize all formats,Android is doesn’t recognize ntfs i think. And yes the “new” keyboard’s micro USB port is useless….. This tablet is a total waist of money. Very very disapointed.
October 20, 2016 at 12:55 pm #55256The story were that i really like my vi10, but the hdmi port stopped working (hardware issue) and i really enjoy this feature, so i bought the tbook 10 thinking it would be a good upgrade, but the perf are so so, the keyboard never release and no otg while charging… So i finally ordered a cube i10 with specs similar to my vi10, but i’ms sure it will perform better than the tbook 10, plus the mini hdmi port is more solid that the micro hdmi port.
October 20, 2016 at 12:50 pm #55255Hey Lucas, the TBooK 10 and 11 are very bad tablets, good specs but way too much defaults and issues. Finally i bought yesterday a cube i10 with keyboard included for the very good price of 129$ on gearbest. For me the ROM is not an issue since i will only install a fresh windows 10 on it, and use the tablet mode of windows and the apps of the windows store and i need it to be more “portable”, so i’ll get the full 32go for Windows, wich is very sufficient if i install the programs on the SD card. Plus, i have the feeling that my chuwi vi10 were faster and smoother that the tbook 10 (an 11 too) even if there is only 2gb of ram and a older processor, and i think it is because the screen resolution is lower wich suit better the intel atom modest performance, and because the 2gb of ram are at 1333mhz when the 4gb of the tbook 10 and 11 are at 1024mhz… And the full HD display doesn’t help the performance even if it looks quite good. I feel like i waste money on the tbook 10 lol
October 18, 2016 at 11:41 pm #55148Heu Lucas! Thanks for the review. Interesting. I have a tbook 10, and what’s really an handicap is that even if it has micro usb and DC, when dc is plugged and you connecet for instance a usb mouse, it simply stops charging. And if I use a otg+charge hub, it won’t do both neither. So with your tbook 11, can you use a charge+otg hub? I am thinking actually of buying a cube i10, since it has USB and DC. Does your cube i10 were able to do both at the same time? It’s ultra cheap on gearbest, like 130e keyboard and tab
September 29, 2016 at 3:25 pm #52028Hey pal Jason Racine (are you french?) i have quite an experience with this tab, i might be able to help you. First, what’s your serial number (on the metal frame)?
September 29, 2016 at 3:01 pm #52021Hey man, i have normal vi10 for about 6 month, and like 1 month after, the micro hdmi out just stopped working either on windows and android
September 28, 2016 at 8:57 pm #51480YOO, simply download windows 10 media creation tool, make a bootable usb drive of windows 10 64bits, boot on it and install a fresh format windows, and there won’t be any of your personal ID, serial and such
September 28, 2016 at 7:37 pm #51476Yea it’s average but it gets the job done. In my opinion, teclast stopped to produce it because they encounter too many defects and they simply go for this one. Quite desapointing, but it would be fine to me if only i could use DC charging and OTG, becausei am kind of obligated to use a usb wifi dongle since the wifi signal is extremely poor on top of the fact that my walls are super thick.
September 28, 2016 at 3:30 pm #51454Thanks guys for your participation, very interesting, so it seems that both of you that got the aluminium keyboard with built in bateery have big issues with it. It approves my theory that sellers just sold the defectives keyboard, pretty lame… Good thing I didn’t bought it.
- To Josep: Thanks, i received the leather keyboard today, and the same thing happend to me, I just made a detailed post about it.
- To Jean: Well, if the touch pad doesn’t work, it’s kind of a big deal, i mean, it supposed to be portable, you are not going to hang around with a usb mouse
- To Ken: Thanks for the review, you don’t seem to have much issues with it, still a bit buggy
- To Timofey: Wow it’s cool to see the specific hardware issue, thanks!!!

August 14, 2016 at 10:22 am #46787Yo guys, this battery is fucked up,(hardware, firmware??) However, i use windows only and the battery drains very fast, but the worse is, in windows, in sleep mode, the tablet went from 100% to 80% in an hour. IN SLEEP MODE. I noticed that the tablet heats a little bit in sleep mode also. But the worse is that when completely powered off, the tablet went rom 50% to 0% overnight.
