Maybe someone can check if flashing the bios from Android with Intel FPT works.
Download correct bios.bin; open terminal emulator; run su; /system/bin/fpt-tools-package/FPT -f bios.bin -bios
February 25, 2016 at 4:20 pm #27040Or have a look at using ARC / ARChon with Chrome in Windows.
February 17, 2016 at 1:05 pm #26274That’s what made me think it was an Android IA ROM (having lib/modules in boot.img for example), probably pointless trying to use the kernel we have (3.4 or something) when RemixOS2 is using 4.0.9 (and can use 4.4 from Ax86)
Hopefully it’s just me but I can’t tell the difference between the before/after shots, and isn’t the multiuser just two lines in build.prop?
February 15, 2016 at 10:01 pm #26076I’d say its likely the cpu isn’t supported. You might be able to drop into a shell and see where it hangs/breaks by adding DEBUG=1 to the grub.cfg
February 15, 2016 at 4:35 pm #26042Have you tried compiling an Androidx86 kernel?
I haven’t looked at the modules/firmware for the stock 4.4.4 or Remix 1.0 versions that we have, but RemixOS2.0 at least boots and that’s using an opensource Ax86 kernel. Just need to get the other hardware to work.
Would I be right in thinking the stock/remix1.0 kernels are AndroidIA kernels rather than Ax86?
January 13, 2016 at 1:49 pm #22213That screen is the EFI Shell. Have a look in the bios for the boot order and make sure that Windows Boot Manager is at the top.
January 2, 2016 at 7:08 pm #21000Stock android can be found here: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/chuwi-vi10-pro-64gb-fix-restore-etc/
just pick out the relevant android stuff.
RemixOS can be found here: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2CrhVjbTr8DSXRnd0ZGcVIwaFk&usp=sharing
just need to flash boot.img and system.img
January 2, 2016 at 7:04 pm #20999Tried making sure both partitions are primary?
(haven’t checked sdcards myself yet; it could also be unsupported by the kernel/ramdisk)
December 19, 2015 at 8:45 pm #19236Have a look in device manager for Sensors and Sensor I/O devices and see if one is missing; if it is then Add legacy… should fix it.
December 19, 2015 at 8:38 pm #1923509/10 version can be found here: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/chuwi-vi10-pro-64gb-fix-restore-etc/
There’s also a 09/10 version of remixOS on 4pda
December 18, 2015 at 11:48 am #19052No issues from my 1510 from gearbest. If there was an issue with the gearbest tablets I guess they were the older pre-1509 versions, otherwise same experience as Zellot, although I would suggest giving the RemixOS ROM a try (there’s a version for pre-09 and one for 09/10 available).
