Thanks hhtouch. The X80 Power is a pretty recent model so I’m shocked that such a problem still exists even after so many X80 variants were released.
The Android is unusable for me due to this.

Using a powered USB hub solved the issue.

For some reason I cannot get the UEFI firmware to recognise the Windows USB drive I’ve created. Is there any secret option somewhere to turn on/off?

I’ve tried the official Windows media create tool and also the Rufus method to write the drives but it’s not working…

The X80 Plus method works, but with the following caveats:

• The display resolution is off. Fixable using a resolution changer app
• Severe battery drain

Would not suggest this root method.
