After you download and unzip/unrar the driver files from Chewi, just remember that location.
Now just go into device manage and click to upgrade each device/driver that didn’t get identified by Windows previously. Repeat until all devices are installed.
I believe by the time you finish all of them, one of the updates will have been the touchscreen itself.
Good luck!
June 20, 2017 at 12:40 am #68321Wow! You guys are getting awesome battery times!
Out of the box I was getting max 2-3 hours usage with screen brightness set @50%. Just basic surfing, and streamed some music.
Hopefully that changes after a fresh reload. Definitely seems there was something really really wrong with my intial chuwi tablet setup, right out of the box, hehe
June 18, 2017 at 8:20 pm #68291By the way, my tablet performance out of the box was really bad. Everything was super sluggish, and hard to control. As a finger operated only device it was completely useless. Thankfully my Rii Bluetooth keyboard kind of saved the day so I could finally control basic windows elements. The lag was still bad though, and my sound is crackly, very low level, and distortion through the speakers. Bluetooth headphones sounded awesome though. I’m praying my speaker sound gets better, I’ve seen all the praise, just hoping to experience it myself 🙂
Was anyone else’s experience this bad out of the box? I assume I’m the exception, and not the norm.
Thanks for any input.
June 18, 2017 at 1:21 am #68272Thanks for the new driver info, I’m about to go through the same thing. Please keep us posted how it goes, as many readers will learn from it.
Unfortunately my Chuwi Hi13 was almost unusable as a tablet with fingers only support. It worked a little smoother with a Bluetooth keyboard, but still a no-go by my standards. Started a “fresh” windows reload, but now I’m locked out of it for a few days (had to order the original docking keyboard) *sighs*
I also had the really bad sound problem, low volume and crackles/hiss. Sounded fine on BT headphones though. Weird.
I’ll be watching your post with enthusiasm, so Best of luck!
June 18, 2017 at 12:54 am #68271Hello all. Here’s an iClever USB charger that’s working pretty good. I’d guess it’s about 70% as fast as the stock power charger. I can pull some numbers once I get my tablet running again, lol.
Here’s the Amazon Link
It’s only $19 now, and it’s great for any other QC3/2 charging you may have. Be careful, there is another model with similar description that’s cheaper, but note the different spacing on the USB ports. I can only vouch for the specific linked version.
Seems like a nice growing collection of usable c-chargers here, we have hope!
