mine seems now fine, too.
If chuwi also could make battery optimizations, i mean longer standby times, that would be nice.May 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm #38123@Jeffrey, can you dump your bios for me?
I saw on your screenshot that your BIOS build date is more recent than mine.May 19, 2016 at 7:11 am #37891This would be awesome. I’ll try later on.
May 6, 2016 at 8:39 am #36247So i assume the wifi drivers are borked. Unfortunately i am not skilled enough to compile a new wifi driver. It might be doable, but only if the source is available of course.
May 3, 2016 at 7:58 am #35892someone on the chuwi forum seems to have twrp recovery working. interesting.
April 29, 2016 at 5:49 pm #35565i have the dualboot version.
When i try to update i get following message:
Image type X64 is not supported by this IA32 shellI am confused. In Bios Settings it clearly states boot Architectuire x64.
Also, i cant launch EFI Shell from filesystem device, only when i choose the uefi usb drive in boot override.
When i escape the statup script, i am in EFI shell.
Any suggestions?Current bios version:
uefi 2.4 pi 1.3

we schould try the always on app that someone mentioned, so that the device doesn’t go to deep sleep mode.
Then we schould turn of device for 1-2 days and see if it is a constatn battery drain or an abrupt drain.
This way we can seey if it is a battery problem.April 26, 2016 at 7:57 am #35105Hello Emily,
are you an admin or moderator in the Chuwi Forum?
We don’t have a problem turning on the device on.
The problem is that if the device gets into deep sleep, it doesn’t wake up when the power button is pressed.
It doesn’t matter if it is on Android or Windows.
The device has to be restarted with a hard power reset by holding the power button for about 10 seconds.
The problem can occur afer a few minutes or a few hours. It is reproducible every time.
Please inform the Chuwi engineers about the problem and release a stable bios file.
We would be very grateful to have a working device. At the moment the device is useless.April 25, 2016 at 10:57 am #34978Since it is happening on Android and Windows, it likely that it is a BIOS problem.
This might get hopefully fixed with an update.
It would be a very bad situation if it a combination of BIOS and a faulty hardware component.
Sending the tablet back to Gearbest is expensive.Verdran is right, so i think that we might have all invested in a Paperweight. 🙁
Still we schould try to contact Chuwi via the Chuwi Forum.April 23, 2016 at 8:53 pm #34834i tried to make a logcat. but i suspect it never goes into deep sleep when doing a logcat over adb. bummer.
April 22, 2016 at 3:48 pm #34678i saw a picture in this forum with d2d3_hi8pro.222, but i can’t find it anymore. i would like to compare the bios date. perhaps it is more recent.
