Hi there, how did you install Manjaro?
I seem to be having troubles booting into my live USB!

September 5, 2017 at 6:11 pm #71589Hey guys, great choice in buying the EZ book 3 pro, I have rev3 and I’m using it as a daily driver for studies and as a travel laptop (currently travelling through europe) and this laptop has been great to use, it completely surpassed my expectations especially considering I downsized for travelling coming from a dell XPS 9550.
Now for the reinstalling, when I received my model it had pretty much 0 bloatware except for an “advanced calendar” which was easy to remove. I personally performed a clean install and I did see an improvement on battery life of about an hour, nothing else changed so if you are comfortable I definitely would recommend doing so otherwise you will still be sweet as. There are definitely some extra tweaks you should do which makes using the ezbook 3 a lot nicer, this would include instlalling the synaptics touchpad driver http://drivers.synaptics.com/Synaptics_v19_0_19_1__C__x86-x64__Win10__Signed__MS_Win10_UXUI_PS2_SMbus.zip and following most steps on the pinned ‘improve touchpad’ post to drastically improve accuracy and 2-finger scrolling (I would also change resolution scaling from %150 to %125 or even %100 for better perceived mouse accuracy)
I would also recommend downloading the russian drivers which you can find pinned as well, they have the correct i/o drivers. and then of course using the programme which increases the TDW from 6w to 10w which really gives a big performance boost on every app but seeing as you ordered REV4 I think you can just permanently apply the fix in the bios.
Enjoy the jumper guys, you will be pleasantly surprised on how this $220 laptop holds out!
September 5, 2017 at 6:01 pm #71588I’ve just found a working synaptics driver which fixes 2 finger scrolling completely, the link is: http://drivers.synaptics.com/Synaptics_v19_0_19_1__C__x86-x64__Win10__Signed__MS_Win10_UXUI_PS2_SMbus.zip
Install it and away you go, it also improves accidental touches so when you’re typing and you accidentally touch the touchpad it doesn’t register as often as before, hope this helps!
August 4, 2017 at 7:16 am #70101Hey guys, I’ve got my touchpad working pretty much perfectly now and I also get no frame drops watching 4k on chrome so this is what I did:
Re-installation of windows 10 creators. Updated all drivers using IObit driver booster 5 beta before using windows update (the best driver software I’ve used)
Install Intel I/O from the russian forums that oliver linked (The other driver linked to google drive was already installed after windows update and iobit driver booster did its thing)
in touchpad settings change to Most Sensitive. In mouse settings decrease mouse speeds by 2 notches and keep “enhance pointer position” ticked and set scrolling to 1 bar at a time.
In the bios: Enabled toupad device (disabled by default but I think it adds a better driver), added the bios tweak to improve emmc speeds
Download PRIO process manager and in task manager set chrome processes to high priority and prio will automatically save these settingsI haven’t tested this but doing the re-install of windows 10 I feel like it increased the jumpers battery life by about 1 hour- 1:30
Please note re-installing windows 10 is completely optional, I have done this 1000 times so do this step with caution if you know what you are doing.I hope this helps everyone out.
