I would like to do a clean installation of windows on the SSD but unfortunately I can not.
My steps were as follows:
1. I used Media Creator Tool to create a bootable USB (8 GB) for Windows 10 (English version, 64bit).
2. Changed boot order in the BIOS to boot from USB.
3. After a few seconds from the restart of the PC always appears the message ”Your PC/Device needs to be repaired. The application or operating system couldn’t be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors. File: \Windows\system32\bootwinload.efi. Error code:0xc0000225”
I tried to change the usb port, I also downloaded a new bootable USB with Media Creator Tool but the final result does not change.
How could I solve? What is the missing file “winload.efi” ?

I’ll tell you my experience.
I would like to do a clean installation of windows on SSDs but I still could not, but I managed to clone the OS from eMMC to SSD. My SSD is a Crucial 275gb M.2.
With the crucial software (Acronis) it was impossible to complete the OS clone, the PC screen became black and remained black for a long time. Instead I managed to run the OS clone with the Reflect software (it’s free and easy to use).
After this step I changed the BIOS starting from SSD and everything went well.

December 30, 2017 at 10:01 pm #76273Hi,
I also have a V4 (December 2017) and also my charging light turns green on full charge. My eMMC is Sandisk with Sequential Read (Q= 32,T= 1) : 188.879 MB/s and Sequential Write (Q= 32,T= 1) : 76.546 MB/s. I ordered a Crucial SSD 275gb M.2 2280 at a good price, I hope it will work…
