Does anyone have any news with this? Seems like Chuwi tablets are ticking time bombs. My tablet worked OK, with some quirks, for about 2 months. Now it’s dead. I kept getting VC Lemon on AliExpress extend my protection for one reason or another. I still have protection. Hopefully they take care of me but I doubt I’ll be completely satisfied.
March 8, 2016 at 7:00 am #28409I have the newer batch with 4GB RAM, 64 bit, and blue USB 3.0. My tablet just died this week. Can’t turn it back on.
March 8, 2016 at 6:58 am #28408I own one of the newer batch models that came with the 4 GB RAM and USB 3.0. I got my tablet delivered in late December. Now, in March, my tablet is dead. I’ve charged it and tried booting so many different ways. It’s totally dead. Such a disappointment.
January 5, 2016 at 6:44 am #21254I’ve also had problems with wifi disconnecting and failing to reconnect. I have great wifi at home and all of my other devices are fine. I only have issues with the Hi10. Something’s wrong here. It even continues with this problem after I restart. Then, all of a sudden, wifi starts working again. It’s very random. I have the 64bit version.
January 2, 2016 at 11:39 am #20941There is a android symbol on the side of the box.
Yes, but note that the box next to the Android logo is not checked. VC Lemon on AliExpress did tell me that Chuwi may release and Android dual boot update in the next 2 -3 months but that was just a possibility. Nothing confirmed that I know of.

January 2, 2016 at 11:30 am #20937I doubt it will be solved with software. One possible “fix” they may employ is to turn off the feature altogether so that when your case closes, it won’t automatically turn off the screen. That’s the only thing I can think of. What I do to not encounter the issue is to fold the extra flap on the cover inward so that it adds extra thickness and blocks the magnets a bit. I don’t usually have problems when I do that. But, yeah, if you just add a little extra space, it would solve the issue. I can’t believe Chuwi didn’t test it first. They did make the case after all since it has their branding on it.

2016-01-01 10:45:13dear Jorge Huaman, sorry for the problem, i have confirmed with the chuwi factory and this problem can be solved, they are now doing the software with teach video, need about 5-7days,later we will send to you to help you solve the problem together, best regards-susan
I also requested that they extend my buyer protection and they accepted. It was extended by 30 days. So, if you guys have the issue (which I think everyone does since it seems more like a hardware issue) I’d suggest you extend. Maybe we can get partial refunds or something because I doubt it will be fixed.
January 1, 2016 at 3:51 am #20780For anyone interested, VC Mall on AliExpress asked me to send them a video of the issue with the screen turning off as a result of the magnets on the case. I decided to make it public on YouTube. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsc8sUYXtnc
December 30, 2015 at 10:20 am #20526Changing formats of the cards does not work for me. Jorge, can you tell me what kind of 128GB card you’re using?
I’ve only tried a Patriot brand (this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SNLIG5O?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00).
December 29, 2015 at 11:56 am #20369I have a 128 gb micro sdxc card and it’s working fine so far.
December 29, 2015 at 6:54 am #20320I wonder if they have the same case and if they are closing the case completely on the back. For me, it only happens when I have the tablet completely flat against the case. I think magnets won’t affect an IPS screen negatively like your quote above but there are tablets that have magnetic covers built in as a feature so that when the lid closes, it turns your screen off. I’ve had this on all of the Samsung Tabs and covers I’ve owned. The only difference is that I don’t think the Hi10 is properly shielded from those magnets through the casing.
I should also note that I did also run into the problem where half my screen turned black and that was unrelated to the case. It happened when I downloaded the Netflix app and started watching a video. It wasn’t that half of the screen didn’t work – because I could still hit the start button and have icons pop up. The app just decided to use half the screen for some strange reason. Hopefully this stuff gets sorted out in bug fixes.
December 29, 2015 at 4:41 am #20303I figured out why my screen turns black. It is the case! I bought the bundle with the standard case, no keyboard. That case has magnets (I believe) that are supposed to turn your screen off when closed. Well, when you have the case open and folded behind the Chuwi, it still has a strong enough force to shut off the screen through the tablet. Maybe this happens because the Hi10 has a light, plastic design? Anyway, pulling the cover away from the back of the tablet even a centimeter will get the screen back on. I’ve tested this over and over and I know that’s what did it for me. It’s just poor implementation of the design of the hardware but not that big of an issue. I doubt software can fix this but at least I know what the problem is and how to avoid it.
December 28, 2015 at 11:28 pm #20272I just received my Hi10 and I’m already noticing a few issues. My screen also goes black at random times. It seems like it might be when I hold it – like applying pressure on certain areas will do it. It happened once while I was watching a YouTube video and the audio kept going while the screen was black. I couldn’t get the screen back on until it just reappeared – the video still playing but the lock screen popped up. Very strange. I am also noticing that internet speeds are really slow. I will get less than 10 mbps while my phone is getting 45 – 60. I tried updating the driver for the network card but it said it was up to date. Any thoughts on how to fix these issues? Thanks in advance!
December 21, 2015 at 11:24 pm #19523Has anybody received a 64 bit Windows 10/4 GB of working RAM Hi10 yet? VC Lemon assured me that my tablet was among the first to go out with everything working. I wonder if they are right. I’d love to know that others are receiving those tablets already.
