The tablet has been sold. I was trying to delete the post but I don’t find the button. If an admin can close it, it would be appreciated.
December 4, 2016 at 11:57 am #58048Open regedit from command prompt or Cortana dialog. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/AutoRotation and make sure that SensorPresent is set at 1 and Enable is set at 1 as well. If one or both are at 0 change them and reboot the machine. Now auto rotation should work, and the charm button of rotation lock in the sidebar should appear as well.
December 2, 2016 at 6:00 pm #58009My Cube i7 Book, ordered on the 7th of November, has been delivered today (2nd December), no customs to pay (I’m in Italy). To be fair, the dispatch took longer than usual, they said that due to huge number of sale they had some problems.
To get back to the topic, I ran several anti viruses, and didn’t find anything suspicious, so I’m not doing a fresh install, I just linked my Microsoft Account and done. I recommend Ninite if you need to install several programs at once. I’m trying to find a good ePub reader, meanwhile I installed essential entertainment software like Netflix and Spotify (both speakers and audio out via headphones are pretty terrible, it’s definitely better with a Bluetooth speaker), and Krita to try the pen. I still have quite a few Windows Updates to install, I’m pretty sure I’m not even on Anniversary, for example.
December 2, 2016 at 2:20 pm #58003Hi, I have the same problem. After updating all my system drivers, both cameras stopped working. Under “Device Manager” they both have the status “STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE”. I tried to uninstall the drivers and install the original ones (found here on TechTablets), but nothing changed. If anyone can tell me exactly how it solved this problem and where can I get working drivers I’d be very grateful.
EDIT: I solved the problem. Actually, another member solved it. You can read the solution here (the last message): http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/driver/
Basically you just need to uninstall Intel Control Logic, making sure you select “delete drivers”, it will revert to the original drivers, and they make the cameras work again. Also, make sure not to update it! Cheers 🙂
November 28, 2016 at 9:07 pm #57763Thank you for sharing you mod. I’m Italian, so I wrote a couple of questions directly in you website 🙂
November 26, 2016 at 10:24 am #57522Can you link the video drivers you used? Thanks!
I second that! It would be nice to know which drivers need to be updated and where to get them!
November 11, 2016 at 9:52 pm #56783Usually true, but at the moment I’m not interested in the keyboard, so I thought I’d go with the tablet + stylus (which is what I’m looking for)
November 10, 2016 at 7:28 pm #56703Thanks!
November 10, 2016 at 5:33 pm #56696Thank you! I’ve tried looking for the styluses in that thread but they’re impossible to find now. I’ll give it a go to the pen I linked, hoping it’s compatible. I’d also like to change the tip to a felt one (I have a Bamboo graphic tablet and an Intuos and I know the difference), I hope old Wacom tips (if I’m able to find them) will fit.
Thanks also for the others info, I think I can live without a thermal mod, and I’ll probably buy the glass screen protector asap.
