I used the guide from Chuwi site which is very much similar to the one posted in the Forum.
Apparently, my two tablets belongs to the super early batch 00241 and 00253 which they said upgrade only when needed, which I did so and thank goodness I only upgraded one with such issue.
December 4, 2015 at 8:44 pm #17639Thijs S., who did you manage to talk at Chuwi? The official Chuwi site? If so, I will be damned. 🙂

December 1, 2015 at 12:40 pm #17191Please find the link here for the page provided by a Forum’er from Chuwi portal for Hi10 drivers download.
Please note that these drivers are not official drivers from Hi10.
December 1, 2015 at 11:11 am #17181Maryn,
according to the friends from Chuwi forum and Baidu-chuwi forum, sellers (not Chuwi itself) said the factory will fix and will release 64-bit OS Hi10 in two months time. I dont think it will be resolved that fast. Also, if you go to bbs.chuwi.com, you will see sub-forums had JUST been setup for Hi10 but is EMPTY. Since the delivery of the Hi10 units on the 20th Nov, which is more than a week now, owners of Hi10 faces frustration with practically no support from Chuwi. I had personally called to China to Chuwi’s customer support but had been passed from one to another and I hang up the call in frustration.

November 30, 2015 at 7:55 pm #17122Stephan, rubbing salt to the wound, the unit specs also inaccurate. Its not a 1.84Ghz processor. 1.84Ghz happens only at turbo. Its a 1.44Ghz processor. They should honestly state it as 1.44Ghz
November 30, 2015 at 7:50 pm #17118Battery is good. Was using the tablet for presentation today for 2hours and doing Dungeon Hunter 5 for an hour and still have about 77%. Tablet is just warm that’s all
November 29, 2015 at 6:05 pm #17032well, John, maybe you will be the first lucky few to receive it with 64bit OS. as far as I know, those who had received the Hi10 at the current moment are all OS 32bit.
I dont really understand that those fellows over at Chuwi are thinking. Onda & Teclast are all on 64bit for their cherry trail tablets. My friend from another forum had just told me his Onda v919 Air CH is 64bit OS but he too have his set of problems on his tablet.
November 29, 2015 at 6:01 pm #17031Laura, unless I am reading it wrongly, the device manager seems to imply that both the ports are 3.0.
🙂
Off Chuwi site, the spec for Hi10 indicates 2*USB2.0. weird isnt it.
November 29, 2015 at 6:00 pm #17030Nader,
That’s the one. They only list the shipping cost as you had mentioned. Anyhow, its not an Acer product. I have the original Acer keyboard kickstand type cover which is rather heavy. I was previously using the Acer flipcover together with my Asus ME400CL keyboard (which is very slim and sleek).
Had never used your suggested combination as I prefer not to carry that many stuff around. With this case, its like carrying an organiser and I also use Adroit pen to take notes on the tablet too.
Maybe you will like that attached cover/pouch. see attachment

November 29, 2015 at 3:48 pm #17014Hi Nader,
I got the Acer W4 keyboard from this particular seller in Taobao and the build-quality is pretty good with good packaging. I had just ordered 2 more for the Hi10 from him. Based on the dimension given, its a good fit. Do note that the outter cover material is made of felt material hence a dust magnet like some of those keyboard cover that Chris had reviewed. I like this cover because of the “suction pad” which allows you to remove the tablet from the cover rather than those from other manufacturers that uses those pesky double-side tape type.
As for the touch panel, Hi10 is using Chipone touch screen panel. The error I had gotten is driver, the error is ok but the error I had gotten is the “HID I2C Driver” Tried using the drivers I had but system said its the latest driver already. Uninstalled the driver, reinstall again, same problem. So, might as well just wipe and restore the image. Much faster.
November 28, 2015 at 7:34 pm #16947Yet to try it outside but the screen seems decent to me. Audio for playing games is ok. For movies, speeches are not really audible. It did improve quite a fair bit after I install the RealTek I2S driver. Now more audible.
I tried installing the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 Intel SST Driver which causes conflict to the touchscreen driver and lost touchscreen functionality on one of the Hi10. Luckily I did do image backup and am doing a restore as I type.
As for keyboard, i wont be using the generic keyboard. I would not buy the keyboards made for Hi10 (1. keyboard cover without touchpad. / 2. another other model is too bulky). I will instead get this keyboard from Taobao which I had already own one for my Acer W4. There is a suction pad at the back which will hold the tablet plus it is cheaper than those 2 that I had mentioned.
