I did try the 32 bit drivers. I think I had trouble getting the touchscreen to work or something. It was a while ago, ended up just re-imaging it to 32 bit. I think you’re right about the speed, probably not worth it.

I can read the 32GB sd card and files from it, but cannot write to it. When trying to write or format it times out.

THANKS! I spent way too much time messing with drivers and BIOS settings. The tablet is actually seeing the 64GB card as FAT32.

Edit: “Sees” the card, but I cannot write to it. I’ll have to try the 32GB as FAT32.

I’m using the one from banggood and it’s working great. I have keyboard and mouse receiver connected and my USB NIC and it’s still charging @ 100% screen brightness. I’ve got it set to 2.

Thanks for the info. I should be getting mine this week so I’ll give it a shot. I don’t think I’ll use the hub without the power connected. I really want it for when I have this on a stand with everything connected. I have a CableMatters 1Gbs NIC + USB 3 hub connected that works really well. I know I’m not getting a full 1Gbs or USB3, but at least it functions well. Battery doesn’t seem to drain either and I can connected the keyboard and mouse wireless receiver + a USB drive with the NIC connected and everything works.

    Thanks!

For x98, do you mean you used the method for that device? Something called an Air x98 3G … ?

I just found this, looks like root is the only option.

What’s the safest root, with privacy in mind not the actual process. Is kingo root safe?
