Hello guys, first post here. Congratz about this website/youtube channel, you are great. So I’m thinking about purchasing this one, even if I don’t need at all the stylus support it seems a killer device. I plan to do light gaming on it (League of legends) so I’m already looking about the thermal mod. So, it seems that the initial setup (1mm thick copper shim + 1mm thick cooling pad) it’s pushing the device too much and causing screens problem, right? Which one option would be optimal? A) 0.5mm thick copper shim + 0.5mm thick cooling pad B) 1mm thick copper shim, no cooling pad C) 1mm thick cooling pad, no copper shim Thank you guys.
I think I will try C first to see how it goes. Would it be better to use 1mm cooling pad or 0,5mm cooling pad so as not to have any problems with screen pushing.

October 10, 2016 at 8:34 am #54576Hmm…. I just pasted a 5cm x 5cm thermal pad on top of the original aluminium sink and it drops general temperature by 10 degree on the processor. Good enough I guess.
How thick was the thermal pad that you used? You put it on the back side of the aluminium right where it touches the case?
October 10, 2016 at 8:29 am #54575Ah. okay. Thanks. Will do that once I open it up again to replace my thermal pad. The current thermal pad I used seems to make the back budge a bit. Great help there.
Did you only replace the thermal pad? How thick was the thermal pad that you used? 1mm should be ok?
October 10, 2016 at 8:12 am #54571The problem is that the heatsink does not make proper contact with the CPU, right?
Instead of doing the copper mod, can I just replace the thermal pad with a thicker, much better quality one?
How thick do you think the new thermal pad should be? 1mm or 2mm?
October 7, 2016 at 8:39 am #53981Just contact the store you bought it from, saying it stopped working and see where you get with it.
And don’t mention anything about the charger of course…
October 7, 2016 at 8:31 am #53980For driver back up I highly recommend ” Double driver ” software (freeware). Backup your drivers, zip them and upload them to Google drive/dropbox etc.
Also find your windows serial and copy it to a word document. Use a keyfinder software like ” Magical Jelly Bean ”
I would also like to know of a way to backup BIOS.
October 7, 2016 at 8:26 am #53978Are there any cheaper alternatives? Huawei modem is quite expensive.
Anything for 20-30 euros?
October 7, 2016 at 7:22 am #53951I still don’t get why 2.5 is so important. Is it really that different than no 2.5? It feels better maybe???
September 28, 2016 at 9:41 am #51218You found a better battery, or just want to replace your old one?
September 26, 2016 at 12:19 pm #50790Is does have round corners. It has the exact shape of i9, round corners and space where the camera sensor is.
It feels great as well, fingers just glide on it. It is a fingerprint magnet though and need regular cleaning.
September 26, 2016 at 10:27 am #50777Have that screen protector round borders (2.5D)?
What do you mean?
September 26, 2016 at 10:25 am #50776Yes, i will keep my eyes on this thread as i would like a back up normal charger. 3.5mm is right, but the last size has me stumped…it could be 2.5, 2 or 1.35. Now as the above charger is actually for the cube i9 i would guess its the right size…..heres hoping.
The width of the charger is 3.5. The second number is for the length I think. If it is the length it wont matter as long as it is 1.35 or over.
I am not sure that it is the length though, make sure before you order
September 24, 2016 at 11:04 am #50505I reinstalled windows 10 home from a USB stick (English version) and the licence still works. So all good there. If you do windows recovery tablet lets you choose between Chinese or English language.
If you wish to do a clean install of windows:
- BACKUP all drivers before you do anything (use double driver software)
- Make sure you DON’T delete the backup partition when installing windows so you can recover your tablet if you need to.
You do not need to make a fresh install, but I got mine from Bangood… and they tend to install their own spamware/software/account so I did a clean install.
September 24, 2016 at 10:37 am #50504It comes with a regular screen protector, but you should get a tempered glass. The feel of the tempered glass is much better than the plastic one that is included. You can scroll much better on the tempered glass than the plastic one. You fingers get stuck on the plastic one, making it difficult to scroll.
You should use a protector or you will get scratches on your screen (screen is not gorilla glass).
This is the protector I bought http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-accessories/pp_366521.html
