Bump, so I have opened the tablet to disconnect the battery, but this didnt fix it. There is something else going on, whenever power is applied (battery disconnecting/reconnecting) the cpu starts to get warm (up to a point where i can still touch the heatsink, so not hot in the sense that its burning up it seems). The batteries however stays cold so its not pulling that much power so i am not really sure if its shorting out or not.

I think i will leave the battery disconnected for a few hours and report back, although the tablet is unfortuntely toast to my believes. Maybe someone else has a godlike idea?

You wont be able to do what you want, because the tablet has no “proper usb c” port. Devices which can be charged while using usb c need to have the USB PD (power delivery) standard, which just works with USB 3.1 + usb c. Also the “usb c port” has no meaning for data other than charging it. If you have the “new” version of the new version, aka 3rd generation, it may work, but I doubt it. Basically meaning: the usb c port on this tablet is a fake port. It has no USB 3.0, nor can you charge + data with it. The tablet has no USB 3.0 port in summary, you wont be able to use a gbit usb adapter with it.

I have no way of phyiscally testing it yet, but there is a proper usb 3.0 device found by the device manager (though I guess its technically possible to make a usb controller reports a fake name or something). I did read upon some forms that this device did indeed not have a proper usb 3.0 port in the beginning, but some people mentioned that later revisions actually do have a fully working usb 3.0 port. But to bad that I can’t charge and use a hub at the same time… making it kinda useless for the long term use.

Hi, why don’t use the microusb port with UsbOTG and use the USB-C for charge your tablet ?

Thanks for your reaction, I meant micro usb instead of “usb b” , which i rather not use since it’s usb 2.0 and I want the 3.0 speeds for the gigabit ethernet and possibly a harddrive for in the future.

Having the same issue, but with the trekstor version. My friend has the same tablet and has the same pen (arrived at the same time as mine) and he is experiencing issues as well… I was really hoping to take notes with this :X together with simplistic schematic drawings (studying electronics). I suppose thats out of the question… its on par with just a normal capacitive stylus… which makes better straight lines at the cost of precision… sigh… bye bye… 30 euros….

I as well would like to know if there is a solution to this. But I somewhat have a feeling that this can only be fixed on either driver level(not gonna happen) or even hardware level (which we can just forget since thats definitely not going to happen) .

Thanks, did download that software but nothing showed up, only had the option to make a backup of the existing drivers… but well… those are broken already ;x. Maybe someone could make a backup with that tool from working drivers on this tablet with the current version of windows :X, I would be so happy. Thanks anyway ^^.

really? weird.. is not like in this video?

Nope, but I fixed my issue, it’s working again :D.

Hi, my screen isn’t responding as well, do you still have that settings file? Drivers show up correctly installed, but no input possible. Neither in dual boot setup screen or in windows, android works just fine tho. It would be a great help! Thanks in advance.

    Edit:

    Never mind, solved it.

Correct file can be found here if anyone else is looking for the same issue: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/dual-boot-to-windows-only/#post-52562
