yeah I’ve read that forum thread and it explains nothing, once I install ubuntu….
the “solution” was
“So I headed to rEFInd homepage and followed the guide to install rEFInd manually in Windows and with help of program EasyUEFI.”
the isorespin page has removed or struck-thru all of the text even relating to it, including removing whatever scripts were related to installing it,
the options are:
install refind from windows (dont have it)
install after booting into the OS (not possible)
that’s why I asked here, if anyone who has *actually* done it and can tell me exactly how it’s done on the Ezbook 3.
basically to follow how that guy did it, you would have to reinstall windows 10 just to install refind to then install linux…. what a pain in the ass
August 10, 2017 at 1:31 pm #70374Installed Ubuntu 3 times now, obviously I need refind for it to boot once I remove the USB and restart the machine…. that isn’t happening and it’s still failing I guess because it’s trying to load grub still
any idea how I install refind at this point in time? I’ve followed 15 million tutorials none of which are any good, isorespin comments section no good for the ezbook 3, its clear grub isnt going to work…. I’m stuck right here

finally got mine apart, no m2 slot… although it looks like I can probably add something in there to get an m2 drive going, an addon board or something….
the battery is incredible, the touchpad sucks (I guess thats why this trackpad bad click software is pre installed?) .. but everything else is amazing for the price I paid!
Toshiba drive is fairly fast, Intel 3165 AC wifi is really fast and decent and works with Arch linux with absolutely no dramas, I’m just using ReFIND as a bootloader instead of grub
August 8, 2017 at 4:02 am #70260Is it the toshiba emmc with ac wifi? On the motherboard, do you have these screws & ssd slot? You could probably still add m.2 ssd by adding daughterboard.
Just turned mine on, it has the Intel AC wifi and Toshiba drive in it. I will open it up later on tonight and post the results in the other thread with what I find. so far so good though!
