Meh, my answer wasn’t saved because of some forum bug. I’ve purchased the chuwi one recently, ans it does work fine.
You can check out my other thread for more info.

January 2, 2017 at 9:16 pm #59702Err, the description on gearbest says that this stylus is for Tbook 16 Pro / Tbook 16 Power. These are not the same as X16 Pro / Power afaik. The original stylus looks also different and has 2 function buttons. I doubt that the stylus is compatible with the chipset in X16, but you could try changing the frequency modes on your stylus if it’s possible. (Maybe that’s what the small hole on the top of the stylus is for)
Since the original stylus is discontinued you could buy the one for “Chuwi Hi 12” or Trekstor tablets.

December 29, 2016 at 6:08 pm #59477This manual describes the procedure for changing the frequency. Despite being provided by trekstor, it also applies to the chuwi / teclast styluses http://www.trekstor.de/tl_files/userFiles/products/active_stylus_1/BA_AS1_V2-10-LC1-151215_online.pdf
December 8, 2016 at 5:42 pm #58234I’ve received my Chuwi HI 12 pen today (http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-accessories/pp_363077.html) and I can confirm that it works out of the box. If it doesn’t work for you, try using the frequency switch button (you can select 3 different frequencies).

November 30, 2016 at 7:48 am #57893I have a teclast pen for the x16 pro can’t get it to work at all. It the metal one with blue light when on. just does nothing. Odd thing is the side of the pen activates the touch on the screen but not the point of the pen! Any Ideas?
You’ve bought the stylus for teclast x16 plus, not for x16 pro. Since the pro one is discontinued, an alternative must be found. The stylus for trekstor tablets was reported to be working, but it’s a bit pricy @ 30€. Maybe there are other tablets out there that usw the same chip? I’ve lost my stylus at the uni recently, so i will have to find some replacement aswell now. :/
January 28, 2016 at 9:50 pm #24189I’ve been using the Stylus everyday at the Uni for almost 4 weeks now. You really just have to get used to it.
I’ve been using the OneNote app aswell as onenote 2016. The app is actually better right now in my opinion. Unlike 2016, it supports shape detection and smoothing and allows you to turn off touch zoom, which is Reeeeally annoying, even though other options like text recognition only work in the 2016/2013 versions.
Some thing that I’ve noticed are :
- it’s rather loud compared to surface stylus for example.
- The reaction time on the buttons is a bit long (if you hold the eraser button and try to erase something, it does not instantly do so, you have to really rub it in sometimes :D)
- The stylus tip registration is inconsistent near the edges. Your lines may look longer when drawn near the edges
- The screen protector that comes with teclast is really shite – it got completely scratched on the first day and I am yet to find a proper replacement
- The display seems to have some small blind spots for the stylus registration
- This ISN’T a wacom-like stylus so you don’t have any hover effect
While these issues may be kind of annoying at times, it really is okay for the money. When you get used to those gimmicks, you can write with it without problems. As the above post says: Don’t expect it to be as good as a Surface 😛

January 13, 2016 at 6:53 pm #22231@HolloH I mean the clicking sound from plastic tip touching the plastic screen, which is pretty audible :D , I don't think there is much that can be done about that except maybe rubberizing the tip or replacing it with another. Well, or just finding another stylus with the same chip, just less crappy.@Patatorz I believe they only function for apps that support Microsoft Inking. The first button from the tip is context menu (or lasso Select in OneNote). Second button is the eraser. There is a manual for this model (Although it states Trekstor), scroll down for the english version Manual PDFJanuary 9, 2016 at 11:05 pm #21721The file is located in C:\Windows\system32\SwitchOS(WTA).exe for me
