All work fine thanks! But how I get now Windows 10?

Read my post, and follow instructions in the correct sequence (don’t skip steps, re-arrange steps)

    http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/tutorial-how-to-install-windows-10-only-my-way/

Tips: Do it under windows, try and not use cheap Sandisk flashdrives (don’t ask me why), and use an original untouched MSDN image of Windows 10 (x86 – Home edition)

    The latest original image is:

    <label class=”detailtitle”>File Name: </label><label id=”filenameLabel”>en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_x86_dvd_7223716.iso</label>
    <label class=”detailtitle”>Languages: </label><label id=”languagesLabel”>English</label>
    <label class=”detailtitle”>SHA1: </label><label id=”sha1Label”>5D406D89656F8548FD0F410BD66DE59BE05B081B</label>

Just search for that ISO by name on “places”, and check SHA1 if you want.

I have one question, in the step 4 you said to go to update, how? From Windows Update? In this step, before putting the drivers my wifi adapter didn’t works. How can i do it? I will try this today, thanks

Yes, step 4 is for Windows Update.

That is interesting, at that point, my Wifi already works using the generic drivers that the installation of Windows 10 installs I guess… or maybe it just uses generic “universal” drivers that come with Windows 10.

Are you sure you are using an x86 type of Windows 10 with MediaCreationTool? Maybe you need to flash another Bios from the beginning? What type of tablet do you have? Are you keeping android?

There is always trying to install wifi drivers manually… maybe extracting, and installing them from the double driver backup zips, and install them manually? In the download section, I used the drivers under Windows 8.1, but they are the only ones that works well with my copy of Windows 10.

There are other drivers in the download sections though, as well as something called “Ultimate Pack Genesis” (Thanks Frederic Gub) https://mega.nz/#!ackBGaiQ!r6RK3p9Wu5TSYdRYop537r8ADuGzw3XFaIpYeU82YuE

I know they key to all of this is having flashed the right BIOS (there are more than one out there), and the right drivers (more than one too, out there).

I wonder if tinkering with Bios options has anything to do with it too, or if maybe Windows 10 updates some drivers, and you have to roll them back in device manager… I don’t know, too many variables 🙁

    Good luck!

Hi. I Change next time bios (now 8.1 mb from download zone). Now system see touch screen with 5 point stick, but doesnt work. Bluetootch, audio, light sensor not working. Any ideas ?

Ok, I finally got all my drivers to work, and remember the sequence to do it properly. I will make a tutorial here soon to help you out, but just remember, we might not have the exact same model of this tablet.

Abraham Pomodorino: I was trying to help Umair with the touch drivers, I don’t know about your camera drivers, sorry.

    Ok. I’ll try

Also… after flashing Bios, you HAVE to go to Bios options in SCU (press Esc during boot up), and change boot options to Windows first, instead of Android, otherwise Windows corrupts.

Also, you HAVE to go to safe mode in order to install the drivers with double driver, otherwise the drivers will hang, and may cause a bootloop as well.

hmmm i’m not upgrade bios. I have sn 32g221511

    Oh, ok, nevermind.

All I know is that I have seen that error before:

” (Kod 10) (Can’t run this device. (code 10)) The device returned an invalid HID descriptor.”

But it only happens to me when I flash Bios G1D, and I have to flash the older Bios J1D (V1032G Dual Boot BIOS111 (8.2 MiB)), and install the correct “Chuwi Vi10 Touch Drivers Installer (74.5 KiB)” file in order to make it work.

But again, experiment at your own risk.

Hi. I have installed all drivers like on viedeo but i don’t have touch… In deviace status I have info:

Nie można uruchomić tego urządzenia. (Kod 10) (Can’t run this device. (code 10)) The device returned an invalid HID descriptor.

Maybe someone have any ideas hov i can fix this problem ??

That is most likely because you updated your BIOS before… if you have a 32g edition, you need to flash the file “V1032G Dual Boot BIOS111 (8.2 MiB)” from the Windows 8.1 download section here…

Just unzip it, and get any pendrive formatted in FAT32, and just move all the files inside the folder to it, and the restart the tablet, press ESC, and go to Boot manager, and boot off that pendrive to flash that Bios.

Do this at your own risk though!!!

Thanks you for that, I do believe that works for other people, but not for me right now… I have a 32g version CWI505, and I really was able to get it right before, I just forget what exactly I did.

I do know that touch in my tablet ONLY works under the Dual BIOS j1D version from the download section here under Windows 8.1.

Heck, I was even able to make it work with a modified version of Windows 10 Enterprise N, that I used to remove all bloatware, and spysoftware off of, and it runs super fast! And it happened to be the copy where I was able to get all drivers and touch work properly!, but then I formatted to try again, and forgot how I did it, lol…

Right now I can do it like you say, but the touch is crazy and uncalibrated… I try to calibrate of course, but to no avail. I tried safe mode installation of Touch drivers installer to fix it, as well as Signature enforcement off, but it dowsn’t fix the uncalibrated touch.

Righw now I’m trying to remove those drivers manually, and installing manually, and also using Ultimate Genesis pack, and other drivers from the download section, but I can’t get the touch to calibrate correctly :(.

I know the solution must be so simple in my case, but I can’t get it yet.

In my case this doesn’t work anymore haha…

I flashed so many Bios versions, and different drivers, and I was only able to get it right ONCE! Then I was so happy, and decided to install clean, but I forgot the sequence to get it right, or what I did to get it right.

I think, first I installed Windows 10 clean, went to safe mode, and used double driver to install the Widnows 8.1 buckup drivers from download section, as well as the touch driver installer from there as well as the Sleadtouch or whatever drivers, and THEN flashed the dual Bios older version from the download section, and then tried the touch driver again in that sequence to finally get it right… I know it doesn’t make sense, but I do believe the right BIOS for the right model, as well as the right sequence of driver installation is key.

I don’t know if that sequence will work, I tried so many, but I can’t get it right again.

OMG dude, I FINALLY got the touch drivers to work using an old BIOS I thought I tried before: “V1032G Dual Boot BIOS111 (8.2 MiB)”

That Bios was meant for Windows 8.1, and my 32G version… I swear I did try that BIOS before, but I don’t know how it worked now =]

Ok, I don’t really know what I did, but Today everything it’s working except for the front camera, I tried everything this afternoon. The last thing I remember I did was doing a touch calibration in windows if it helps… so estrange, the mistery of computers I guess.

I was able to flash the old bios, and re-install a fresh copy of Windows 10, and I was able to use double-driver from within safe mode in windows using the drivers mentiones here for the Hi8 model… the other drivers for windows 10 from the download section don’t work with double-driver…. Anyways, no matter what I do, I can’t install the touch drivers correctly, and they are all related to each other with the I2C intel drivers that crash and bootloop my PC if I install the wrong ones…

I think you already tried this… but. Step by Step: Clean installation of windows 10 > Safe mode and install all the drivers, including the ultimate pack genesis https://mega.nz/#!ackBGaiQ!r6RK3p9Wu5TSYdRYop537r8ADuGzw3XFaIpYeU82YuE (one by one or using DD) > Reboot > Copy icnfirmware.sys and MYI2C.sys to C:windows/system 32/drivers > Reboot > do a touch calibration in windows. And if your lucky, it’s done.

Thank you so much for your help Abraham!!!

Unfortunately, I was unable to get the touch drivers installed correctly. I have tried your method with God knows how many different drivers, and touch solutions from the download section, ultimate pack genesis, and Sileadtouch files, and so on.. and on… I have to install them in safe mode, otherwise it bootloops, and I get different results whether I used the old Bios or the new Bios… and I always select “Windows” as the default boot up, otherwise the drivers go crazy or windows gets corrupted.

One interesting thing I found inside the Bios options itself is the “Advance” tab has some  options related to touch and I2C … I tried playing with it even, but no results so far… I tried everything, even different “editions” of Windows 10 (VL, Retail, Media Creation, ESD), all “Home” edition, and x86 of course… and I tried so many variations of installing drivers, and restarting to no avail :(.

Can anyone with an untouched BIOS and correct touch drivers tell me please what settings they have on the “Advance” tab in BIOS?

I have never had this much problems to install drivers correctly on a devise before 🙁

Ps: Also, Abraham, if you were able to install all drivers, and want a nice Recovery of everything that you did to get Windows the way you want, I would suggest you try and older version of Acronis True Image. It has an option called “Secure Zone”, that can create an exact copy/clone of your already installed image of Windows with everything you did to it, and create a recovery partition with that clone that is accessible through F11, just like a recovery you would see in a laptop :). I used to do that with PC’s, and laptops before for a quick LOCAL recovery with all updates, drivers, and software for that specific device.

You can even flash Acronis to a USB drive, and use it as a WinPE ISO, so you boot Acronis before Windows, and create the recovery then… if you need Acronis, let me know, and I can send you a good copy of it, or even the WinPE edition.

I will try to use Acronis with this tablet once I can finally install the touch drivers…

If you don’t want a local recovery partition with your image and F11 option, then you can also use Macrium Reflect for free, and clone your setup to an external HDD. That one is simpler to do.

When I finally figure out how to install the drivers correctly on this device, I plan to use a CUSTOM wim of Windows 10, all debloated of useless crap, and all that Telemetry stuff… I already tried using this, and it runs super fast!!!

How to: Make a Windows 10 “Super LTSB” ISO

LTSB is basically a more stripped down version of Windows 10, that only receives security updates, and they have tools to strip it down even more, and remove/disable more stuff to make it lighter.

After installing that, I plan to use Acronis, and somehow create that F11 recovery option, or use Macrium Reflect if that doesn’t work.

Please help, I was able to install Windows 10 just fine, but I couldn’t install driver for
    <h1 class=”gp-entry-title”>Intel Atom Processor I2C Controller</h1>
correctly, nor the touch drivers, no matter what I tried,  the Intel I2C drivers would make the tablet bootloop everytime 🙁

I reformatted, and installed Windows 10 again, but no luck with drivers or HOW to install them.

Si I had the great idea of flshing the Old Bios, and now I can’t reformat Windows anymore, because I can’t even get into the Bios to start my image of Windows 10 or anything at all 🙁

    Did I brick my tablet?

Hi, I have a Chuwi VI10 with 64GB. I have deleted android and recovery and made the windows use all of the 64GB, I have about 10x 10MB-64MB partitions left over! Windows boots fine, running Win10! love it.. I dont actually have a problem, I just want for security and ease to find a way to Backup the image. I have tried with several apps and past experience. This is what I have tried so far, ghost/dos(Win98se/winme bootup) , Hiren’s boot cd, acronis boot recovery 2015, 2016, partition wizard, I have even used windows 8.1 as a boot Using Rufus, I have tried to copy onto a usb as a bootable image GPT for UEFI BIOS with ISO Copy -Hiren wont load onto a GPT USB -Acronis does load up but doesnt find my 64GB ssd -Windows 8.1 loads but doesnt detect my Windows 10 image (Backup image from inside windows 10) Tried on the MicroSD & as a USB Stick formatted at exfat/ntfs.. maybe its the 8.1 image. I think I need to try with windows 10 image files ————- anyways, has anyone here successfully been able to create and restore 1:1 disk images? in a dos/recovery environment? Thanks Shaun

Hi Shaun! Do you think it’s possible to install a clean copy of Windows 10 VL (for KMS activation), customize it, delete all recovery partition Chuwi makes (don’t want android), and then create my own Recovery using Acronis True Image within the tablet itself? Meaning that I can just install my Recovery with my own partition, and reach it through F11 at boot up, or through the BIOS?
