you really want to care about the “awesome ratings with lots of reviewers” ? You can do it but, are you sure they are from real customers ? Personnally, I see that when I posted a bad comment on GearBest, I see, in the hours that follow, many messages to flood my message.
Anyway, it must happen that sometimes customers are happy with GearBest. The problem is not that, it is that sometimes customers are really not happy with GearBest. GearBest is a crook !
If you want to have a chance of being reimbursed, you must pay with Paypal.

Gearbest will propose you anything (for instance to repay a part of you have already paid) but at the end of the delay, they will reimburse you. Keep a copy of the web page they used for communicating. Best regards, Patrick.

The only way for you is to use paypal, you complain that you have not received your parcel. Then take care : gearbest will ask you to close your Paypal dispute but don’t do it until you really get your money back.

I have another problem wit gearbest. I paid with Paypal and Paypal said they will refund me If I don’t get the product.
When I complain wit gearbest, they said I have to discuss wit gearbest until 28/01.
Then gearbest says they will resend the product if I close the case on Paypal.
But Paypal says that I must not close the case until I am fully satisfied (because I wil not be able to reopen it).
So I say no. But gearbest insisted… I still say no and now they don’t answer my messages.
Stupid gearbest !

What I did also is to write a two pages letter to the Chinese Embassy in my country (France) just telling them the situation and saying that this will stop the business with China. Then I wrote the same letter to the Ministry of Commerce in China 🙂
One thing : did you pay with Paypal ? In this case, you may be refunded by Paypal. Despite fo what gearbest.com says, never withdraw your case with Paypal because it would be definitive.

But when there is a problem in delivery, we cannot rely on gearbest.
This is really unfair business practices.
