The battery I bought is this one: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Polymer-battery-9-inches-tablet-battery-domestic-the-built-in-rechargeable-battery-5000-mah-3976108-free/32614769136.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.nUixwz
Model 3976108 5000mAh, should be a significant upgrade. Still waiting for it to come in. I anticipate having to do some basic soldering to hook it up, but otherwise based on the dimensions it should be a good fit. I’ll post my results once I get it installed. I’m also going to do some basic upgrading of the thermals so bought some thermal pads and copper plates also off aliexpress, I don’t push it too hard, though.
November 15, 2017 at 5:44 pm #74895The battery in my iWork 8 Ultimate is crap and has been from the start. I originally bought the Windows 10 only version, and noticed that the battery seemed to be a rejected higher capacity, Windows read the design capacity much higher than the actual capacity. Whatever. But I flashed the ROM to the dual boot android+Windows ROM, and since then the battery only registers as charging up to about 70% where it stalls. But, before it calibrated to 70% max, it would show 100% charged but power itself off at ~30%.
So my guess is you just also have a crap battery and need to calibrate it. I recently ordered a 4000mAh battery to replace the original one, hoping it fixes my issue.
November 15, 2017 at 5:38 pm #74894I’m also having problems with my Vbook that I bought a while ago, where when it sleeps, it will randomly enter the BIOS at some point with the screen on, which drains the battery. Has anyone found a fix for that yet? I am trying to use hibernate instead, but sleep is much better. I contacted Voyo support who suggested I reset Windows, I had tried reinstalling already, and didn’t fix the issue.
Seems like a hardware or BIOS fault but Voyo isn’t doing anything about it.
I also have thermal issues with mine when watching Netflix or playing games, sometimes it’ll reboot itself, and in games when it throttles, performance goes to crap.
Overall I’m not very impressed with this 2in1 and wish I had put the $280 towards a refurb of a Lenovo.
February 4, 2016 at 2:04 am #24916Guys overall is good to watch some films and use photoshop on windows? Maybe even some heavy games on android , do you recommend it ?Any answer is highly appreciated
IMO if you want to do much in Windows, stick with Windows only. Dual boot vers, 32GB of storage is not enough. I only have 5.5GB free in my Windows partition, and that is with virtually nothing installed, and I can’t even upgrade to the latest version 1511 so can’t even move apps to SD. For Android, it works great, except for a few bugs. Is quite fast and enough storage.
February 4, 2016 at 2:01 am #24915Not sure what you mean by that. I’ve tried reinserting and rebooted, reformatted on another PC. Android sees it. I can also use a smaller 16GB card in Windows just fine, just not the bigger 128GB, which worked fine before I flashed the dual boot 64bit version. Pretty sure it’s a driver issue but don’t have any other driver files to try.
January 30, 2016 at 5:15 pm #24467Just flashed mine and like others, the activation was lost and since the version of Windows is different my original key doesn’t work. Oh well. More concerning is that my SD card slot no longer recognizes large sized cards (sees 16GB but not my 128GB). Not sure if it’s a driver issue or what. The 128GB works in Android.
