Yes, I have those noises when using some applications in Windows, like telegram.
November 14, 2016 at 12:01 am #56892Also, battery life is quite poor (less than 4 hours). I never would have bought it if I had knew about all this issues before.
October 22, 2016 at 5:26 pm #55426Try to uncheck boot selection, at the little left upper menu in boot system screen (be sure to have selected windows boot first, but don’t push ok button until you’ve unchecked the checkbook at the menu).
October 21, 2016 at 10:33 am #55337Yeah, I get that also. Have not been able to figure out exactly what is triggering it. Sounds like static coming from speakers. I cannot remember if it was happening under windows 10 version 1511, but it definitely does under 1607. It doesn’t seem to matter if the tablet is muted or not. Disabling the sound in device manager stops it, but that is not a viable work around. I am having better luck with the surface 3 sound drivers which someone posted in the teclast X98 plus ii thread. Not sure if it happens in android as I have not used it much.
Thank you very much for your response, Andy. I just updated sound drivers to use those from Surface 3. I hope it works.
And about Android, it doesn’t happen at this system, as far as I know.
Thanks again.
October 15, 2016 at 9:03 pm #54983Hi, I want buy a tablet. Ithink about teclast x98 plus II or plus I or Onda v919 air dual os. I want ask about Wi-Fi issues in Teclast x98. I should buy plus I or plus II? Wi-Fi work properly on Android and win10?
Wifi range is poor in both Plus & Plus II models, as I’ve read at some forums. I own a Plus II model, and didn’t notice any issue about this, but muy router is pretty near (about 10m.). Anyway, if you will work far away from your router or you need good WiFi range, it would be better for you to choose another model, in my opinion.
October 15, 2016 at 8:17 am #54940I just used the cable I usually employ to charge or connect my mobile to the computer. I connected this cable from the tablet to the computer, and then flashed it without problems.
It’s not an OTG cable, but a simple USB – microUSB cable.
October 12, 2016 at 5:32 pm #54748Thank you very much for your answer, Veaceslav. It confirms the issue doesn’t relate to my device, but to the model.
The solution I’ve found is to set brightness at 25% and then use an app that creates a filter to reduce brightness (Screen Filter). The result is fairly good, but I think the battery drain is highter than setting brightness to 0%. Does anybody knows a better app for this, or maybe a better solution?

Go to upper menu: Download – Firmware, and insert your model code (A6C9).
October 10, 2016 at 7:53 am #54569Hi, SK. About your questions:
1.- You can update to Windows 10 anniversary update. But don’t use Windows update. If you do so, Windows downloads about 8 Gb of data at your storage memory, and then it makes a full copy of your old operating system (can be almost 20 Gb more), so the internal storage memory will be full and the update will fail (after some hours working). So the right way to do this is to use the Microsoft media tool to create from a computer an USB installation drive of Windows 10 Anniversary Update, then use the OGT to connect this USB to the tablet, and launch the setup from Windows in your device. It’s also sightly faster, about 1 hour and a half “only”.
2.- If you want update Android, go to http://www.teclast.com/en/firmware/showtools.php, and then at the upper menu select Download – Firmware, and write the code from your model (for example, C2D4 or C2D6). You’ll find some files, you only need the Android one, Windows is not neccesary if you’ve updated to anniversary update (it’s an older version). There is also a DOC file containing instructions to manage the process to update. Follow it and you’ll sucessfully finish the update without problems.
3.- I don’t know the Driver Boost you’re talking about. All the drivers for the tablet are already installed, and as long as I know, you don’t need any aditional driver. But, as I already said, I don’t know how Driver Boost works.
4.- About wifi, I think it’s a hardware problem, so the only thing you could do is to open your tablet and make some DIY inside your device to improve it. There are some guides in the forum. However, I didn’t notice any wifi problem at my tablet, maybe because I’m working fairly near my router (about 20-30m), or maybe because they’ve solved the problem in newers models, I don’t know. And about the speakers issue, I didn’t read nothing about that, I don’t know what’re you talking about.
5.- I suppose all your gadgets must work in your new device. But I can’t be sure, obviously. About the keyboard, any bluetooth keyboard should work (in theory), with the SD card and the cable is the same (should work), and with the case you could find some problems with size or mismatched holes for the connectors, but it’s all in my opinion.
October 7, 2016 at 5:37 pm #54455Anybody knows if the problem with SDXC cards also exists in x98 Plus II model (C2D4)? I own one of this, and I want to buy a 64 or 128 Gb card. But I’m not sure if there will be any problem after reading this thread. Can anybody confirm is the SDXC is working properly in x98 Plus II? If not, there is any patch update for this model?
