Technically erasing and writing is the same thing, when erasing it writes all zeros. So if you can erase, you should be able to write.
February 15, 2016 at 10:06 am #26022Rooted mine successfully (A5C6 with A5C8 bios). Thanks!
February 12, 2016 at 7:47 am #25783Powered hub does not necessarily have to charge the tablet, but it supplies power to other devices. Since x98 plus micro usb port has very low power, it cannot support two or more devices. For example, you can connect usb keyboard and flash drive and without external power supply copy from flash drive would fail due to lack of power.
February 12, 2016 at 5:36 am #25775Can anyone tell me if this is the proper file to use from the downloads section of the forum to reinstall windows 10 on an a5c8? Do not need android, just windows. X98PlusBIOSUpdateTool (2.7 MiB) Thanks
I bet it wont allow to install older bios version.
February 12, 2016 at 5:25 am #25774BTW, they write that you will need a USB hub that supports charging but the only one that I know doesn’t work well with the X98 Plus (won’t charge in mode2), what’s the alternative?
I’m pretty sure they meant “hub with external power supply”, not a “hub which supports charging”.
February 12, 2016 at 5:21 am #25773First time I flashed it like all tutorials says – from C:\ and with administrators rights, it said passed, but after reboot tablet was dead, no logo, no bios, no nothing.
Yesterday reflashed with arduino and flashrom, it works now!
February 8, 2016 at 9:07 am #25371Bricked mine too (A5C6). Bios flashed successfully, but did not boot. Will try to reflash with arduino soon.
February 3, 2016 at 5:14 am #24819Why would you want that? Do you reset system every day?
February 2, 2016 at 5:07 pm #24787Do you understand what you want? Just use disk cleanup after win upgrade to remove old version ( or delete c:\windows.old) to get disk space back.
January 30, 2016 at 10:10 am #24394What about A5C6? Isn’t A5C8 already a dual boot?
January 24, 2016 at 10:20 am #23504Thanks Samuel, it really works. We need a sticky thread for tips and tweaks.
January 6, 2016 at 5:16 am #21356I have tried that and a number of other fixes, but nothing helped. Strange, but it fixed itself overnight.
