Unfortunately, I also have the latest version with the 0.26 BIOS. True to what you have said, the clock speed never went up to 1.5GHz, and the CPU core temperature has been consistently hovering around 65-75 degrees Celsius. Had ordered the copper plate and thermal paste for the cooling mod to bring down the temperature.

I wonder if it is possible to flash the BIOS back to 0.17. I have a feeling it might cause the system to stop working since like what you have mentioned, there has been quite a number of changes to the hardware.

I got the same problem as you when I did the reset of Windows 10. The reset is essential and inevitable, failing which, the update cannot install properly.

The workaround to this issue is to reinstall Windows 10 using a bootable USB drive. You will need another working PC to create a bootable Windows 10 image using the media creation tool from Microsoft. The image to download is Windows 10 64bit. A 4GB USB drive should be sufficient.

To change boot order of Ezbook, press ESC key during bootup sequence to enter CMOS.

Once Windows is successfully installed, you will also need to download the Ezbook 2 drivers from the Techtablet download section. PM me if you need help with getting the drivers, I understand how difficult it can be as Google drive has some daily download limits.

In order to reinstall the drivers, you have to go into your Device manager and update the drivers manually. Its a tedious process, but does the trick. Do note that you should be updating the chipset drivers first before you update the others (I left graphics and sound as the last to update).

    Hope this helps.

I got mine from Gearbest and it belongs to the batch that cannot power external HDD or DVD-ROM drive.

Agree that screen is great for its price (matte and full HD resolution). Can’t beat the price for all these features.

It makes a great media consumption machine and still powerful enough for some light word processing tasks (google docs). Currently running Open Office for offline word processing.

    Hi,

You might want to try rebooting your system first and insert the micro SD card again. IteĀ seems like the card slot is very sensitive and needs a lot of care when inserting the card. I have encountered this problem before and all I did was remove the card, reboot, insert again and it worked. Also, make sure you have no other USB devices attached to the ports just in case.

Thank you for the drivers! I got a shock when I reinstalled windows from my bootable media (failed to reset windows after running into a reboot loop at 64%) when there were no drivers for most of the hardware.

The set of drivers are a godsend! Just help to update from device manager and got everything up and working fine. I have since made a backup copy of the drivers. No problems exhibited with the drivers and everything worked perfectly.

So, from my observations, it seems that it is possible to reinstall windows 10 with the downloaded image from Microsoft, then install drivers supplied. Now my Windows 10 has no issues with windows update.
