    Thank you!!

The PWM bugged me for too long.

    you’re welcomed 😉

PS: I actually put now 16000hz, as I read a medical test that was saying that it should be higher of 14000hz to be safe

If you are interested this is how I reinstalled windows (and get rid of Android, I also had Remix OS2, but I was never using it – or with this methos you can also make android smaller): http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/guide-how-to-install-latest-w10-official-teclast-without-android-and-keyboard/

What date does it say your firmware got now?

    Mine is 2016 06 21, before trying any update…

well, then you have one more updated than mine, as mine after the update says 03/03/2016 driver version: 10.0.10240.3

Do you have a new tablet? as in the teclast website there is no such recent firmware to download…

    Cheers

Does anyone know if this reduces the life expectancy of the screen?

probably, but it will certainly increase the life expectancy of your eyes! 🙂

not true… try to see the screen with a smartphone good camera, you will see that it is flickering a lot (the only workaround solution I found is to set a different PWM level, see post above)

Why you mention that the topic is solved? it is not… no driver or hardware solution yet for the flickering… maybe Intel will solve it if enough of complains, for the moment being here you can find the work around: x98 plus guide: pwm screen flickering work around !
