I dont think this problem is related to eq settings. I’ve had the same issue with freezing while charging for weeks now and after yesterdays freeze, my ezbook is completely dead and wont power on any any more. I would suggest you to only charge it when it’s powered off from now on, to spare it from that fate.

I now exchanged it for a Samsung 850 evo and everything works just fine.

I solved it by typing exit into EFI Shell and could then jump into EFI settings where I selected my USB Stick with the Windows installation files. I then deleted ALL partitions on my ssd and emmc and installed Windows on my SSD. The setup automatically created a few partitons on my SSD including the 499 MB system partition. The thing is, when you install Windows on your ssd with your already existing system Partition on your emmc, setup doesnt create an extra system partition on your SSD automatically. So your unable to Boot, if you wipe your emmc. If Windows setup doesnt recognize a system partition your emmc, it’ll create a new one if you Install Windows on your ssd. So make sure to delete it first.

I’m having similar problems with the very same WD Green 120gb SSD. It does get recognized in Device Manager but I’m unable to format it to NTFS. Can’t select in Windows setup either. I did a complete wipe, deleted all partitions, initialized it, converted it to GPT and so on… Still unable to install a clean version of Windows 10 on it. Windows setup even showed me it had a gigantic 2048 GB of free space at one point after a failed repartitioning.

Booting a partitioning software like GParted doesn’t work either because of some kind of Apollo Lake incompatability, i’ve read.

Maybe it’s a thing with this specific model of SSD…

Maybe it only recognizes already partitioned devices. Try downloading Mini Tool Partition Wizard, create a new partition from the unallocated space and format it using NTFS file system.
