The items you bought looks exactly like mine. I programmed my teclast and it works fine. Can you try programming again?

    Sorry for the late reply.

I have tried loads of times, I also thought the cable would be the problem and bought a new one… the result is still the same. The programmer does not recognice my chip, everytime I click on detect it comes as unknown and some numers in the parameters change. I select the chip model manually and reprograme it with no success ?

I don’t think my programmer detected the chip either. It came up with unknown if I remember it right. I selected the chip manually (it was selected by default I think) and it programmed without and any error. Follow the instruction on this forum carefully and you should be able to program it.

I tried programming mine. It all programmed well. Working well so far. The programming kit is not useful to me anymore. If anyone wants to buy from me, let me know. I have the programmer, voltage divider board and the clip with cable.

Voodoo child, use the original charger which came with the tablet. If you don’t have one, buy one which provides atleast 2.5A output. Charge the tablet for sometime and it should come back to life.

Let me know how it goes.

I did exactly the same and it didn’t work. I even flashed the bios by opening the tablet and flashing the bios using connector. Everything flashed fine but the problem remains the same.

Then I used the original charger that I got with tablet. I repeated step and the tablet came back to life. Hurray!! Looks like the tablet would not charge if I use a 2A charger. The one which came with the tablet is a 2.5A charger which charges the tablet correctly.

Not exactly sure which connector you are using but mine fits fine on the Teclast x98 pro that I flashed fine. I think chris here mentioned that his didn’t fit correctly and bought one from the suggested link on this thread. I also bought from the same place.

    Sorry, for the late reply.

I tried everything. I have tried programming the BIOS by opening up the tablet. The programming went fine. It still does the same thing. It powers up showing Teclast in English and Chinese then shows red battery icon then dies. When I connect a charger it shows green battery charging after the Teclast logo then dies. I know the battery is fully charged I have measured it at 3.69V.

I think my device has become useless. What a waste of money.

I bought x98 pro from them. After only a week or so, the tablet shows charging then switches. I have created a thread for that. Decided to return it for £22 via Royal mail but they wouldn’t send anything with battery in it. Their website recommends not to use any other courier apart from Royal mail otherwise your item will get stuck in Chinese customs.

They gave me $90 off if I buy anything else from them. Not much but don’t have much choice. Now I am trying to which tablet to buy from then. Any recommendation for a stable Chinese tablet? x98 Plus 3G? or Onda or something else?

I will try to unbrick my x98 pro.

    Hi Guys,

I cannot think of any other solution but to flash it externally.  I have bought the following and waiting for them to arrive.http://www.aliexpress.com/item/1-8V-adapter-for-Iphone-or-motherboard-1-8V-SPI-Flash-SOP8-DIP8-W25-MX25-can/32523880554.html

I read some where on the forum to try the following

    1. power the tablet with down volume key pressed.
    2. connect a wired keyboard to the tablet using otg connector and press F7 on power up
    3. press the power key for 30-50 sec for reset.

Not sure if it will work but worth a try.

    Hi Guys,

My x98 pro discharged because I didn’t use it for couple of days. Last time I remember I left it in windows mode.

Now when I power up the tablet it shows battery low and switches off. When I put it on charging and switch it on, after the Teclast logo it shows battery charging (in green) then switches off. I left it for charging over night and it still does the same. So, I opened up the tablet and measured the battery. The battery measures 3.74V (checked it with two different voltmeters). It is not battery which is faulty. I think it is the software.

Okay. So it’s not the battery.

I opened the tablet (which was not easy without breaking anything but managed to do it thanks to TECHTablets videos on YouTube).

I measured the battery with two different voltmeters and they measured 3.7V which means they are fully charged. Last time when I left the tablet it was on windows. I think it is the windows partition which thinks the battery is low.

I don’t know what to do. Only thing I can think of is reprogramming the ROM externally. I wish I could find some videos on how to do this.

I have tried this but it doesn’t work. I will open the tablet today and try charging the battery externally with a 3.7V from a regulated supply. I will charge it for half an hour and see if this helps.

I noticed that from the very beginning the my tablet didn’t charge when it was switched off. Because I left it without use for a day without much battery, the battery may have drained completely. Now it would start to charge when it powers on then switches of due to low charge. But doesn’t charge when switched off as before. I think it is a software issue rather than hardward. If get it working this time. I will flash the tablet with the latest firmware and see if this works.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

I am going to try and charge the batteries externally and measure the voltage across the batteries. If the batteries hold charge then I will try power it up.

If it still behaves the same way, I will flash the bios (unbrick method).

I have seen some videos on internet on how to do this. If anyone has any more info, please let me know.
