March 21, 2016 at 10:35 am #30232I got this answer:
After reviewing your case, please review our possible solutions:
1)Return the item back to us
You can return the item back to us in China as per our terms and conditions indicated in the link above.
Once we receive the item , we can exchange or offer a product refund( 96.07 USD) back to your GB wallet. As long as the item does not exceed the 45 day money back guarantee limit.2)Keep the item and accept a partial refund 19 USD on Wallet (credit)
We can offer a partial refund of your product value which is USD on your wallet. This amount can be used for your future orders.3)Resend a replacement (No return)
We can resend you a replacement but we kindly ask you cover partial cost of item and the shipping fee which is 58 USD. We will then arrange a shipment and send you an invoice if you choose this option. In any case I prefer the partial refund on PayPal.
March 19, 2016 at 7:17 am #29999I am over the 45days. I dont believe they will send me a tablet without this problem. Its a design error.
March 18, 2016 at 10:35 pm #29987I will open a dispute in Paypal. How much should I ask for? 100% of the original price? How much did you get?
March 18, 2016 at 7:26 pm #29943I have the same problem in my Vi 10. I contacted Gearbest and they just offer me a 18USD discount in the next purchase.
So you get a partial refund of $18, but you’re left with a touch screen that doesn’t work correctly. That doesn’t sound like a good deal to me. GearBest will normally give you some options e.g. send the tablet to China (it isn’t cheap to send a tracked parcel to China) and get sent a replacement or you keep the tablet and accept a partial refund. Their third option is that you pay $100+ and they’ll send you another tablet. It’s basically the same as option #2, but instead of the partial refund going to your GearBest wallet it’ll be applied directly to a new order. None of GearBests return options involve you getting a replacement for free. It’s absurd IMO because you might of bought the tablet from their USA, EU or UK warehouse yet they’re expecting you to pay to ship the tablet to China. Any half decent company would accept returns to their local warehouse and then send you a replacement once they receive the defective unit.
Yes, I can send the tablet to China. Then after 1 month I will receive another chuwi with the same error because it’s a design error.
They don’t offer refund in Paypal. All i can do is send to China or accept 18$, what is better?
March 17, 2016 at 9:51 am #29752I have the same problem in my Vi 10. I contacted Gearbest and they just offer me a 18USD discount in the next purchase.
I will decrease the passive temperature to 60°C in BIOS-Thermal control and disable turbo option, as Tomas said and see what happen, but up to now I prefer not to open the device.

December 14, 2015 at 1:33 pm #18572I am doing something wrong…

December 14, 2015 at 7:55 am #18528I have installed a clean version of W10, donwloaded from the Microsoft Website. WiFi works , but touch, audio… are missing. And I cant installed touch like I did with the update of W10. Furthermore, it freezes during the installation of some drivers, so actually I cannot start Windows 10.
I am going to try again using this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnaQq3ZpswU
If i have the same problems I will install Frederic’s image of W 10. I assume this image is in Chinese.
December 13, 2015 at 8:53 pm #18483Try this:
1.Install dpinst32.exe (Run as administrator),then reboot
2.Put icnfirmware.sys and MYI2C.sys on c:/Windows/system32/drivers and reboot
3.Normally it is okay. If it is not, go on device manager, select myi2c, update, search on computer, choose from pilots on my computer, then disc, browse and select the myi2c.sys and let it install and reboot
December 13, 2015 at 8:12 pm #18471Frederic, you are a fucking master!!
It works perfect! I think the key was copy icnfirmware.sys and MYI2C.sys on c:/Windows/system32/drivers and reboot
Now i am going to install your W10 image.
P.D. i have try to reach you by skype but its better for future users to read the topic and find the solution.
