Cool thanks, and does it work on type C tablets?
I think so ^^ Just backup through TWRP and if it doesn´t work, just restore the backup … and leave a message for the other Type C users here
I guess someone had to be the first one to try it. 🙂
I can confirm it’s all working fine on my C-Type crippled memory Cube iWork 10. Model: i15TCL64GB. Kernel version: “3.14.37-x86_64-L1-R517 Sat May 7 17:02:18 CST 2016”
If anyone is interested this is what I did:
1. I followed this XDA-dev guide to root my device and flash TWRP recovery: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/cube-iwork-10-flagship-dual-boot-i15td-t3367954 using the modified boot image for i15-TCL tablet. All worked fine.
2. After that I flashed the Remix file provided earlier by Gray using TWRP recovery. The same here – no problems whatsoever.
3. Uninstalled SuperSU (had to do it before re-rooting as I was getting binary update error otherwise).
4.Rooted the device using the ADB command (not the TWRP) by following the guide from a few posts earlier: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/newbi-guide-to-install-remix-os-2-on-cube-iwork-10/page/5/#post-48418UPDATE: Actually I decided to update to the latest SuperSU version and again I followed the XDA Dev guide I linked earlier and didn’t get stuck on the boot screen. Just make sure you mount the storage according to the guide. The reason I tried that was because if rooted my device using ADB method described here it doesn’t install the latest version so SuperSU wants to upgrade to the latest version afterwards. After the SuperSU update it wants to update the binaries and that’s where I was getting an error. You can always root it using the method described in this thread and just ignore the SuperSU update. I hope this makes sense.Obviously I rebooted the tablet before each step to make sure it all worked fine.
All seems to be working fine so far. However, I have no keyboard so cannot verify if that works OK but I cannot see a reason why it wouldn’t work.

September 11, 2016 at 1:03 pm #49452And the keyboard work just fine 🙂
September 12, 2016 at 3:01 pm #49580Good news! You guys installed Remix and removed Win10? Or did you keep the dual boot?
I want to install Remix on my type-c as well but I also want to get rid of Windows.September 13, 2016 at 8:56 am #49648Hi guys. Thanks for the guide and the information. Just one another thing: When I root my iWork10 and flash the remixOS, will I lose all my data? Also in windows partition? And I will also lose all the update, such as the AU for windows? Thanks all.
September 13, 2016 at 9:19 am #49649Hi Guys,
If you going to use my RemixOS ROM, you are not loose Windows data.
This ROM only format/change a Android system area.BR
Gray.September 13, 2016 at 11:19 am #49662Has anyone tried Dmitriy’s method, with the USB pen? I want to try that one, as it will wipe Windows. I want 64GB dedicated to the Remix and no Windows.
September 13, 2016 at 2:54 pm #49681Hi guys, I’ve installed the remixOS and all went good. Is there any way to install the 3.0 version?
I don’t know well this OS, so is there a reason why I can’t reduce to window some apps like “chrome” “calendar” etc?I also have to say that my apple magic mouse doesn’t work (in windows yes), any solution? Thanks all, great work anywayEdit:If you want reduce to window the apps, go in settings>application>chrome (for example)>deflag “open in full screen mode”.
September 13, 2016 at 9:40 pm #49701I’ve installed Remix from a pen using Dmitriy’s method but it seems that it keeps rebooting.
There seems to be a message saying O should rename the rom file to avoid something (too fast, couldn’t read). Is there a rom file in the root causing this? Any ideas?

As I heard, there are still many bugs…

I understand, but is there a possibility to install it anyway?

As one great man said:
“If you want, it is not a fairy tale” 😉But I still not engaged in it.
It is not trivial and requires a lot of time.September 14, 2016 at 8:02 am #49718So, this is all I get at the end if the installation and in a loop:

Ok, thanks. It was only to know if there was a method. Anyway great rom, even if I got freeze sometime.
September 14, 2016 at 11:39 am #49745Ok, so now I have my Type-C on Remix OS only (though it’s detected as a Teclast X16, go figure…).
Problem: I only have 8GB for Remix OS and there’s no Windows, so it’s unallocated space that’s just lying there. How can I use that remaining space for Remix? Any way I can partition it?
Aside from that, it’s working like a charm. Great little OS. -
