Your dmesg log output shows an error that I’ve seen before with Chuwi tablets and also on other machines doing an internet search on it.
I think this failure on what I think is a low level I2C communication bus is causing the problem with the WiFi and other devices from properly loading.
It needs further research to find out what’s causing it but I have seen it’s a known Kernel bug.

“i2c_designware: probe of 808622C1:06 failed with error -110”

Given this bug, I would recommend you change from using the Linuxium release to a main Ubuntu release.
I would download and install this one (Ubuntu 16.10 Beta2): http://releases.ubuntu.com/yakkety/ubuntu-16.10-beta2-desktop-amd64.iso

ubuntu 16.10 final came out today!!! Just in time for testing this, I’m currently downloading MATE version, and will test it tomorrow or over the week end, and report back here

For me, last ubuntu with or without linuxium kernel don’t change anything …
    No sound, wifi or touchpad.
dmesg is still filling with that every 4 seconds

Linuxium just released a few hours ago a new version that addresses the I2C bus kernel error !!!!

    Could this be the one?

    P.S: Downloading it now…

I think the I2C problem is fixed in kernel 4.8.2 regardless of Linux distro used, not absolutely sure but fairly so.  One Chuwi Hi12 user said his touchscreen was working with it, which it would not if the I2C bus was still broken.

Granted without the Linuxium distro you may need to install other drivers/modules for WiFi, HDMI,audio, etc., so prob better to try that one.

Yeah but note where he Linuxium says this…

“Alternatively you can just download a kernel and upgrade your existing installation. Note that the disadvantage of this approach is that you will need to find and install the wifi firmware files in order to get wifi working on a Bay Trail device.”

I’m assuming he left out Cherry-Trail there for a reason?… So it may be easier, and safer, to just install kernel 4.8.2 on top of what you have (or a flavor of Ubuntu 16.10 final).
Note: be sure to use the 64 bit version (second set of links at bottom of this page):

Any news about the Linuxsupport? I read this thread a couple times, but i didn’t really get whats actually working. wifi is working? And i read sth. about the sound driver, too, is it working? whats with the touchpad? Also i read nothing about bluetooth, so is it working out of the box? I’m not shure if I should buy the ezbook or not… Im a student and I need a cheap Laptop with a very long battery life… I’m using ubuntu only, I don’t want to work with windows 10… Does anyone have an advice for another device maybe? Hope this thread isnt dead, greetings from germany!

The Cube i9 (or i7) with Core-M processor is not a bad choice. Devices with Atom chips will take some work to get things working. The touchscreen and audio are particularly difficult to get working. http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_312556.html?utm_source=netaffiliation&utm_campaign=GearbestBR&utm_medium=434175
