    Good tip on on the reinstall, I went ahead and did this out of the box and the tablet seems pretty darn snappy.

    The only thing I seem to be missing is root, any leads on getting this bad boy rooted?

    Yeah, don’t buy from Geekbuying. These knuckleheads jerked me around AGAIN and just notified me that my preorder is delayed until March. Considering cancelling my order altogether and buying from Aliexpress.

    What a drag! Why did they even bother to equip this thing with a Type C port, I wonder.

     

    Ah well, Miracast dongles are cheap and ubiquitous.

    Really curious to see if HDMI out via USB-C will work. I have an adapter (Apple’s) that I’m hoping to re-use.

    No kidding. This thing is looking more and more like vaporware at this point.  Patiently waiting for my preorder to ship but the wait is insane. Have there even been any reports from China of anybody buying this thing yet?

    Geekbuying now says 02/25 on their pre-sell page. Reaching out to them to see if anyone knows anything (which I doubt). What a mess!

    Damn, that sucks. I went ahead and placed a pre-order with Geekbuying, hope their estimate of the units arriving mid-month is accurate.

    Yeah hearing about the continued stock issues from the Gearbest folks elsewhere on this forum kinda scares me. Thinking about saying “screw it” and just placing an order with Geekbuying.

    Was planning to wait out for a review on the Windows version of the tab but am leaving for a trip and really needed a compact workstation.  Both of the Chuwi tablets are looking enticing, though…

    Yeah I think release is closer to the second week of January. No Aliexpress vendors carry it yet, and Banggood has it as “Notify Only.”

    Kind of a drag, I was hoping to grab one sooner rather than later!
