I wonder why guys are not just using something like this: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01ID90K4A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3QW97JCGVVAI1&psc=1 to charge from every power bank. Sure, it’s a bit slower but still faster than it discharges and everyone has a (normal) power bank, which can be used with this cable. And did anyone try this charger: https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01GL4MFVU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=AXZ3JQ1GVFPIF&psc=1 It has PD, but 12V only up to 2A. It’s quite similar to the iclever recommended on the last page, so it could work. I guess I’ll try both, as long as no one did not succeed before me.
I can confirm now, the Ugreen charger works perfectly and charges nearly as fast as the original charger. It also solved my problem with ghost touches when fully charged. Unfortunately the step-up cable does not work, but I ordered a stronger step-up module and will try again.
Hello. I have the same charger, but when fully charged I have ghost touch. Is it possible that the cables are faulty? I bought a twin pack with 56k resistor.
Also, the tablet only charges when it’s turned off when I insert the cable. When its powered on, i have to plug-unplug 10-15 times until it begins to charge.

March 13, 2017 at 10:06 am #63319Because of the technology of the POGO pins, it would be hard to obtain true USB3 speeds with them. I can see, why they opted for USB2 ports on the keyboard (it’s also cheaper with a simpler PCB).
But it would be possible to make an USB3 powered keyboard from the Cube keyboard, with a custom PCB and new usb ports. When my keyboard arrives, I will try to make one.
February 22, 2017 at 8:52 am #62579Mine just arrived last week. It doesn’t affect touch sensitivity or touch sensitivity, the pen (a lenovo Wacom pen) slides easier on the screen than on the original plastic protector. Also, it breaks if you drop the table from 1.5 meters accidentaly. I have to order a new one 🙁
January 25, 2017 at 6:25 pm #60928When you buy a PD charger from amazon, for the best compatibility, look if it says in the title or description the New Macbook or Macbook Pro. If in the description or the title are only phones and tablets (like LG, Nexus, iPhone, iPad, Samsung Galaxy), the while it supports USB Power Delivery, it does only charge at 5V at most. Which will damage the tablet, as the Core M requires a 9V-12V battery.
Those chargers that have green USB ports are almost certainly not compatible, as they are Qualcomm Quickcharge ports. Likewise if there are more than 3 usb ports on the charger with low Wattage.
This charger for example works fine with the Cube i7 Book: https://goo.gl/aUmMd2
Meanwhile these just damage it if not in the short, then in the long run:
https://goo.gl/AKK9d6 – this can output 9v-12v, but not in 1.5A. If you use the tablet plugged in, in the long run it will damage the charging circuitry and the battery.
https://goo.gl/h20B04 – while this is a 30W charger, it charges at a maximum of 5V through USB PD (or 20V through Qualcomm QC, but this will not jelp us). It will definitely damage the tablet.
Also bear in mind, that if you charge over USB, you NEED to use a cable with an 56k ohm Pull-up resisor. If you use a cheap alternative, the device could take more power through the charger than it can whistand, and it will fry.
A google engineer tested a bunch of cables, but if you buy from amazon, most of them will have this in their title or description, like this: https://goo.gl/BisLLm
As the charger and the cable is as important at this new standard as the quality of the PSU in PCs, do not buy cheap and unreputable brands.
January 25, 2017 at 5:50 pm #60927Does somebody know what is the maker of the SD card reader? Not Realtek, as its driver has no effect. Neither is Intel, as he doesent manufacture SD readers.
