August 4, 2016 at 5:23 pm #45623Hi -thanks.
Any idea where can i find the program? tried a couple of Onda versions with no luck…
February 7, 2016 at 5:40 pm #25328not working for me.l.
January 23, 2016 at 6:33 pm #23469Same here. When i scroll in apps like readdit, ouga, some drags are simply not registered or registered as “clicks”. VERY annoying.
January 22, 2016 at 9:40 pm #23392Has this fixed for you? Mine is still not even close as responsive Hi8 is…
January 5, 2016 at 9:17 pm #21330It didn’t worked for me, installing with a clean ISO; i couldn’t restore the drivers after(had a device with exclamation point that didnt seem to update for some reason).
What i did though is download winreducer, made myself a custom iso image with lots of stuff removed, and slipstreamed the drivers into that ISO. Everything running smoothly, except screen rotation – still didnt figures that one out.
December 31, 2015 at 4:01 pm #20729I’ll try tomorrow with a regular HDD, via an USB enclosure.
It’s weird though that the performance it’s not the same with official MS ISO and all drivers, i doubt Teclast did any other optimizations to ISO…
December 31, 2015 at 2:13 pm #20709Thanks!
Is there any way to perform a “normal” windows install with those files? somehow to get the install wizard… I don’t have a powered USB hub at hand…
Tried a clean install – no go, cannot install a bunch of devices. Slipstreamed the drivers in the official Microsoft ISO and i got almost everything working(except g sensor, even with latest drivers and the reg file). Used doubledriver to restore all drivers but the performance is visible lower than with the original windows that was with the tablet, hence my question about installing from provided files…
December 29, 2015 at 8:26 am #20334Thanks for posting Evil.
A couple of questions:
- Any reason you prefer Chrome to Firefox? I find it a memory hog; i use a custom, light version of Firefox and i’m quite happy with it: http://sourceforge.net/projects/lightfirefox/
- I only do easy coding, so i’m not sure this tool will be useful for you, but it’s really fast and light: https://xhmikosr.github.io/notepad2-mod/
Also looking into using Kodi for any media comsumption (music, local/network videos, twitch, youtube, ted talks) as it seems to be REAALY lor resource using.
December 26, 2015 at 8:42 am #19978Yup, very interested to see more added to the list.
Just realised i’ve forgot about image viewer: IrfanView
December 24, 2015 at 10:24 am #19788I usually do a doubledriver backup and then format and clean install from ISO from MS website and restore drivers after. Didn’t had any issues with Chuwi HI8 or PIPO tablets so far…
December 23, 2015 at 3:03 pm #19687I would say you want Teclast x98Pro, mainly because of the aspect ratio (4:3), which I find so much better for reading; I have a x98 Plus on my way, just because I value battery life more than system performance overall.
December 8, 2015 at 10:01 am #17931Actually there is a 3rd party app that uses the invisible memory (already mentioned before, hopefully i’m not marked as a spammer haha): http://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/primo-cache/index.html I did test it on a virtual machine and it seems to work…
November 28, 2015 at 2:46 pm #16933Give this app a try: http://www.romexsoftware.com/en-us/primo-cache/index.html
It’s a caching system that can use the extra memory not usable by Windows, they call it “invisible memory”; 3 GB + 1Gb for caching seems like a sweet deal, can’t wait for my HI10 to arrive…
