Looks as should but hard to say without seeing in person interested in buying a spare unit or selling yours? I have broken my usb and can’t reinstall windows so have a screen need a motherboard…

Issue is almost certainly the version of Windows on the pen drive. Had same issue if it is a 64 bit version you are trying to use it won’t detect it.

Yeah I tried not possible the bios says can’t install on a 32bit system. Also the system fails to see 32bit boot drives,  tried installing win 7 32bit so could activate win 10 which was no go

Just wondering if someone could verify the impact of my heatsink mod….

I can run prime for over 10 mins on the maximum heat setting maintaining 1600mhz constantly on all cores and a temperature of 73 on 2 cores and 67 on the other 2. I can then add furmark to the mix getting to about 82 deg c and cpu throttling down to about 1200mhz. Be intrigued to know how you guys get on; that is using hwmonitor. I used a 10 x 20cm aluminium sheet which appears to be conducting heat away nicely – obviously only so much you can do in a passive confined space…

I got the 4000mah in no problem and in honesty could get bigger, need to look through available options there is plenty of space both depth and width, unfortunately changing usb socket was disaster and now only charge is available to me meaning no more otg 🙁 at least the socket is stable.

Can’t believe they ship unregistered windows in update, is pain in the ass having it unregistered and hoped this update would fix my current unregistered issues 🙁

To be perfectly honest your finger nail should get the back off no problem, you will be surprised how easy it is I promise, I have had though items like my acer ferrari but this was a piece of cake

OK, so I have tried installing the new battery, simple fact is they lied about its capacity. When received it is actually smaller in size than the original battery; marginally deeper but much more compact. I would estimate its capacity @ 2500mAh ish. Unfortunately batterymon does not detect the actual battery so when I changed the battery I had the same statistics reported. I haven’t tried the original battery, only the higher capacity unit I took from an old tablet I had but for comparison running prime95 and furmark concurrently I get approximately 2 and a quarter hours with 0% brightness using the higher capcity unit and about an hour and a half from the ‘5500mAh’ battery in the same conditions.

I have attached pictures of the motherboard and connectors in case anyone feels the need to replace theirs, ordering my microusb this evening, as for the heatsink, definitely space for a sheet of metal – suggest 1mm aluminium sheet alongside 1.5mm heatpads. i went 1.5 and 1.5 and that was marginally too much

apologies for the delay guys. i have now got the battery but not fitted yet. firstly word of warning, i lost everything by using the win 10 recovery option, firstly it i all in chinese, second i used the remove everything option and it got as far as restoring and then just boot looped. safe to say it is not worth the heartache. better to download microsoft installer and install over the top. if anyone manages this i would appreciate an iso since i cant activate windows and it wont accept oem bios key. re. the shim easiest way to get back off is by the corner next to windows button. i am planning on using aluminium sheet alongside net battery which is smaller than old one. will take pictures as i go to show how all goes together etc. going to have to replace micro usb connector though as it is seriously wobbly

yeah works perfēctly. before i try iso can i suggest you go folder by folder right click the setup file normally oem*x* and click install for every single one. that is how i got mine working. an update onthermal mod. i bought 1.5m aluminium sheet and 1mm thermal pad and placedthat on cpu. temp gets to just below 80 when using furmark and prime simultaneously. interestingly the tdp is as big a limitation since all cpu cores drop to 500mhz when run alongside the gpu. prime on its own sees the core on all at a solid 1600mhz. let me know how you get on. also any idea how use bios windows key to activate windows?

Happy to try do you an ISO although I am having issues getting windows 10 accepting my OEM key from the bios any thoughts? Re the heatsink I have just bought an aluminum sheet and some thermal pads, will feedback the success and impact if it does work. Also sourced a battery too which should fit here….
