That’s very weird. I re-installed multiple times and the keyboard has always worked right off the bat. These systems are really finicky though.
What you can do as well is download the re-installation bundle from Teclast. Go here: http://www.teclast.com/en/firmware/
Type in the ID of your X5 Pro. Mine was k3j2. Download all 3 parts, and write the binary file to a USB thumb drive. BEWARE, anything that boots from that thumb drive will be immediately wiped, formatted and have a copy of Chinese windows 10 installed.
Using that, see if the keyboard works again.
You might also be better off just sending this thing back. The keyboard should be working without any need of drivers, etc. You can also try installing the updated firmware and drivers from this site. https://techtablets.com/downloads-drivers-roms/
July 23, 2017 at 2:43 pm #69562I had this laptop for a while till I sent it back due to power issues. If you’re not having these power issues (power saving modes do not work) then most likely you have a good version. In which case, re-installing windows will get the touch screen, pen and keyboard working. You may need to update to the latest (I believe Creator edition) of Windows 10 for everything to work. If everything works fine, then leave it there, I’ve had mixed results with downloading the Intel upgrade tool and updating various drivers, but it may work for you.
Good luck! This laptop is a finicky beast.
June 28, 2017 at 3:33 pm #68571My problems are all solved. I sent the Teclast X5 Pro back for a refund. Too many issues and too tiring to keep dealing with them.
Biggest issue for me was absolutely no power management.
June 28, 2017 at 3:30 pm #68570Do yourself a favor and do what I did. Send it back for a refund.
June 22, 2017 at 4:30 pm #68403I’m having the same issue. Unfortunately, after re-installing windows, there’s missing drivers and the laptop ignores all power configs. It never sleeps, never even so much as blanks the screen.
These are the missing drivers https://imgur.com/gallery/pT3vy
GearBest is saying I can return it for a refund, which I think I may do. This thing has been nothing but issues from day 1, which is a shame, because the only issue right now seems to be the missing drivers, which may solve the power issue as well..
June 20, 2017 at 8:14 am #68333Well, I figured it out. Completely drain the battery by charging something with it. After that, it’s all good.
May 5, 2017 at 12:04 am #66530Do we have an update from any user regarding the so called stylus support on the X5 Pro? From what I could gather reading the comments on gearbest, it does seem to support one. But.. Which one?
If you ordered from GB, there’s a list of things on offer with the tablet. I just ordered from that list, so mine came with the Pen and Keyboard.
This is the pen: http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-accessories/pp_595435.html
It works very well with the X5 Pro imho. The pen is pretty flimsy, but syncs immediately.
