In my opinion there is not a real working procedure but probably the problem is in the battery manager in Chuwi. My tablet is working very well now and I don’t know why.

After 20 days I did not touch the Chuwi why it was not working, last Saturday I tried to turn it on and surprisingly it works perfectly (disconnected from the power supply). When I powered on the device, the battery had a residual charge <10%.

Now it is working very well since three days without any problem.

That’s incredible, I have never seen something similar. I’ll keep you up-to-date.

Finally we lost a lot of money (I bought also accessories).

What they suggest (VC Mall) is to lose other money sending back to them the tablet, they repair it (in how many time???) and then they send it back. The costs to send the tablet back to China from Italy is approx. 35% of the tablet price and 80% of real tablet value.

This is China…these are chinese products and I was stupid to buy from them!!!

OK. After all my warnings that going into sleep state can trigger the black screen problem, I managed to cause the black screen on my tablet by pushing a hotkey on my wireless keyboard that triggered sleep and sent it into a coma. Given all my research, I didn’t panic. I tried pressing CTL+ALT+DEL a couple of times, then long press power button followed by short press. Then tried ESC key and other random keys on the keyboard. Tried power+ volume up button. I connected to charger and no LED light. I removed the charger and connected a USB keyboard and pressed CTL+ALT+DEL a couple times, then long press on the power button for at least 30 seconds. Reconnected charger and LED charging light was blinking. Pressed power button and also power+volume up , don’t remember which first. Tablet started to boot with Chuwi logo then went to black screen. LED charging light still blinking. Did more research and read that sometimes Windows 10 will cause lockscreen to be black on startup. Solution: press CTRL then enter your PIN/password. After doing that, I long press power to shut down, then short press to start up. Tablet booted up and working normal again. From now on, will avoid putting tablet in sleep mode.

Do you think it’s a normal procedure to start a tablet???? LOL

Your Chuwi will die soon as mine…I’m sorry and nobody will refund you 🙁

    Hello guys,
I can confirm that there is no way. After two months no solution was found. Nobody will help, no refund, no replacement. There is not warranty with chinese products, so what they suggest (Aliexpress vendor…VC Lemon for me) is to send back the tablet (60€ from Italy so problably at the real tablet value) to try to repair it. But, as admin wrote, technician is working on the issue…so there is not solution till now and I suppose they will never find the solution.
Who bought a Chuwi HI10 sooner or later you will have a fantastic cutting board at only 170€!!!
DON’T BUY CHUWI IF YOU CARE ABOUT MONEY!

I think it all depends on if you got the first batch or not. It’s like my Hi8 Pro, it’s very problematic and fails to boot at times. But the second batch is fine, like my Hi10 which is the second batch the blue USB 3.0 port and 64bit Windows.

    Chris,

my Chuwi was 32 bit (updated to 64 bit and worked for 1 month) and it has black usb ports. I was sure the problem was the old version of the tablet, but jorge has demonstrated the contrary. My tablet sometimes starts, approximately one time per week, with usb ports that are not detected by Windows. I suppose that the tablet doesn’t start because it goes in a kind of protection for hardware failure and after a certain time the bios release the protection. I don’t know if it is possible.

Before reading Jorge comments I thought the problem was between USB 2.0 and Bios. I tried all 64 bit Bios available around this forum without solution.

For this reason I suggest to avoid to buy Chuwi till the problem has not been found and solved by Chuwi. The tablet can works for few months, but I think the tablet should work for years!

We wrote a lot about the issue:

    http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/hi-10-doesnt-boot-fixes/

I also contacted directly Chuwi support. They were very kind to answer me…that there is nothing to do. They are afraid, they don’t understand where is the problem and they suggest to contact the vendor…there is not warranty with these products! I have a died tablet that worked for about 2 weeks.

I tried 32 to 64bit Bios and however the tablet doesn’t start, so the problem is not the bios software.

I have two black ports, so I supposed they are 2.0…is it not true?

Probably I understood the problem. We flashed the Bios with a version that is compatible with 3.0 USB port, but my tablet has 2.0 USB ports only (black ports).

In fact my usb ports don’t work when the tablet decide to start…sometime it starts itself and I don’t know why.

I would like to try to install the bios “from 32 to 64bit” but I can do this operation from windows only because as I said before my usb ports don’t work when windows is on. Is it possible to have .exe Bios?

    Hi All,

I have the same problem. Since last Friday it is not powering on. I tried the entire day but nothing. I thought it was the battery then I let it to charge for 4 hours (the LED has not blinked). I tried to turn it on Saturday but nothing. Then, without pushing the power button, it turned on by itself. Windows had the wrong time and the battery fully charged. I flashed the bios from windows without problems, then I restarted and…anymore…died!

In the tablet there are all my data so I would not send it back. 160$, one month working with problems relating 32bit to 64bit and nothing. Chuwi, are you serious????

    Przemo,

now with files organized in dedicated folders I found easily the right BIOS for my device. All my troubles were solved (SD>64 Gb, Bluetooth and Wifi).

My device has firmware serial number HI10 42151101029-3000 .

    Thanks.

    Ciro.

    Hi,
I have V200. With 32 to 64 bit bios everything was ok unless 64 Gb Microsd. I updated bios with P… and now microsd is ok but bluetooth is not detected. I suppose the problem is in the Bios. It’s not listed in the hardware manager. How can I solve the issue?
    Thanks.
    Ciro
