Thanks. Time to go read the TWRP thread. I wish there was a way to do a backup without messing with the bootloader but I suppose this will do for now.

Would TWRP allow me to backup Windows partitions as well or would this only work for Android?

My tablet seems to be running fine with stock except a few annoyances here and there. I would still like to give this rom a try.

My question is how is everyone backing up their tablet before trying this rom? I would like to be able to go back to stock if I mess up somehow. Is it possible to backup everything (boot, android, windows)?

Do you think that upgrading to Windows 10 Enterprise will work the same way on this tablet too?

Also, has anyone figured out how to perform a full backup (preferably of boot partition, Android, and Windows) prior to making any changes? If full backup / restore is a possibility then I would volunteer to try out Enterprise edition on my tablet.

Thanks for the BIOS link. I’ll hold off doing the BIOS upgrade until I run into any issues. So far the tablet is doing good. Hope that doesn’t change soon.

Can you please point me to the instructions for the v1.13 BIOS? I just got my tablet last week (K9C6) and have no idea whether it already came with latest BIOS pre-installed or if I need to do anything extra.

Other items to consider:

• Poor sound quality fix: Install Surface 3 audio driver
• Copper Heatsink Mod if playing lot of games (I think this is the latest one)
• Android Rooting is underway, but still in a very early stage. Definitely proceed with caution.

Q: Is there a way to suppress Chinese language in Android? I still get a lot of Chinese language sprinkled in some random places (ex: when Play store successfully installs an app).

My tablet should be arriving this weekend. I hope to have better luck, but I am keeping my expectations in check.

Were you able to do anything to recover the 2nd tablet or do you think that will have to go back?

Side question – where do you guys get all these games from to try out? I’m not big into gaming but wouldn’t mind trying out just to see how it looks on this tablet.

Regarding cases, Banggood provided confirmation that this case also fits X98 Pro. It looks pretty good.

I already placed my order of the original case. I don’t want to ask them to change the order for me thinking that might be too risky. Probably will mess something up with the order and I won’t get the tablet for a long time or something like that.

From what I can tell, banggood does not ship with the original packaging. They remove the box and ship with the tablet wrapped in their own foam. Others who have purchased the tablet from them may have a different experience. They probably do this to make shipment safer, but it makes it inconvenient when you are intending to give this tablet as a gift to anyone.
