Hi all,
I still have this issue and have been using the tablet with the touch screen disabled in Windows 10 – I tried the steps here:- http://4pda.ru/forum/dl/post/7181430/IMG_20151129_215042.jpg (Shielding the cables etc) and it made no real difference, I agree it looks like a heat thing as it ‘seems’ to start off ok, I did try cooling various parts but it was the same. Turning turbo off is interesting and I’m going to give that a try! I’ll report back,
Best,
Dave
December 1, 2015 at 10:34 pm #17256Hi KOCTYCb O o, I noticed when I tipped the area in red in my screen shot the screen ghosted like crazy! Worse with the charger in! I tried insulation tape in places there but no joy – I suspect a faulty unit as Steve above said! Real shame as it was a great tab otherwise! I’ve contacted my seller but (a) I’ve had it open and (b) Haven’t had much luck returning things before. If anyone finds a fix I’m all ears! Thanks!

With the power cable in I get phantom touches. However if I switch to Android it’s OK, I’m typing this on screen in android now with the charger in and no issue?

November 28, 2015 at 4:37 pm #16940Ok so I’ve taken the back cover off just to see how it goes and I’ll report back later, I have spotify playing – I’m using it and I have the charger plugged in.
November 28, 2015 at 1:32 pm #16929Very interesting and makes some sense…. although doesn’t explain why I can’t see it in Android, could it then be a heat thing?
The question is do I try taking it apart to investigate?
November 28, 2015 at 10:00 am #16920I read that it might be related to grounding issues, but I dont feel much like opening up my new Vi10 Pro.
Hi Phuturist, where did you see that?
Thanks!
November 28, 2015 at 9:57 am #16919I have the same problem and was about to start a new thread about it. The weird thing is it only happens in Windows (I’m running 10).
Just to check we have the same issue, in my case,
- Sometimes when charging if I press the screen I get double or triple random presses on screen.
- My touch device is the MYI2C device
- When charging or after using for a while I get those totally random inputs you describe. They can be key presses and actual drags across the screen.
- It doesn’t happen in Android?
I have the touch device disabled in windows currently as it’s annoying me so much! I was wondering myself if it was a heat issue/combined maybe with a driver? I’m tempted to go back to windows 8 to see if I have the problem there but that’s alot of work!
October 25, 2015 at 9:10 am #14111Great post Phillip, this post and the info on here should be enough to help anyone out.
Just so people know I messed up my Windows 10 upgrade and was able to get a fully functioning unit now from these threads! I did a windows 10 reset a few days ago and was able to get running again in no time.
Also, has anyone else had phantom screens presses? Can get annoying sometimes, happens on both Windows and android but not all the time. Don’t know if its pressure on the screen, sensitivity or other. Will keep probing.
I did notice these in windows when charging only and using the touchscreen unplug the charger and the touchscreen was perfect – didn’t see the same thing in Android though? Maybe the windows driver?
October 19, 2015 at 10:34 pm #13690Here is the compressed backup of my wifi driver, using DD.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! You da man 🙂
That worked perfectly, defo worthy of a sticky imo! I’m going to work on the touch screen and OS switch tomo night, only in tonight so can’t do anymore now!

October 19, 2015 at 4:56 pm #13621I’m having the same problem. I thought it was fixed but now just seems broken again. I looked in the BIOS and it says I have a realtek wlan adapter onboard, but those drivers definitely don’t work. The broadcom driver is installed but breaks after the tablet sleeps. I’m not really sure what to do. Any ideas?
Hi there,
If you do me a favour and use Double Driver to backup your wireless driver and send it to me, I’ll install it and see if I’m having the same issue. My BIOS also reports it as a Realtek but that may be a BIOS issue – defo something funny going on! I should have noted the hardware in device manager before I did the upgrade!
What has me confused is BIOS says Reatek, the latest drivers (for our model) have a Realtek driver and an older one at that (2014) but the working (or semi working ones like yours) with our serial number use a Broadcom driver!
Anyway if you want to try that?
Best,
Dave
October 19, 2015 at 11:32 am #13606Hi all, I downloaded those and I’m totally confused now, they are the same as the ones Phillip posted, with Realtek wireless drivers. I was under the impression that the new serial used a broadcom board! But maybe I’m wrong, does anyone here have a new unit with a working wireless and a broadcom wireless card?
Let me know and thanks!
Dave
October 18, 2015 at 7:21 pm #13561Sorry all – still downloading here – using chrome but had a few failed attempts, I’ll share as soon as I get them but at this stage I’d say it’ll be the morning!
October 18, 2015 at 2:58 pm #13531Well hang on a bit 🙂 I’m downloading the drivers from Baidu now (slowly!!) fingers crossed it goes ok, once I have it I’ll share it here!!!

October 18, 2015 at 2:26 pm #13526Hi Dave, I have the Broadcom, like I said that was working from the off and I have not messed with it. My serial matches yours though, at least on the part we are quoting. And these drivers work for mine on the 2 bits of hardware not working. The GPS, Bluetooth, Camera, Sound, Display and WiFi were all working from the off.
Thanks Ian, all I had to do looking back was let it update from 8.1 to 10 and wait for the new driver in the link above, instead I started trying to install the Realtek driver and eventually resetting windows – loosing my touchscreen, OS Switch and more.
Really silly of me, so until I get my hands on the drivers that I’ve linked above I’m stuck, I tried getting a Weibo and QQ account – I can’t get either here in Ireland it seems.
So until then I’ll keep trying!

October 18, 2015 at 2:07 pm #13522Hi Ian,
Thanks for that – I’ll get onto that after, what wireless device is listed in your device manager – Realtek or Broadcom?
Phillip – I can’t register for a Weibo account (I tried but Ireland isn’t listed for a mobile verifictation) can you download these :- http://pan.baidu.com/s/1jGESJ4a
Lads check your serial number printed on the metal surround at the end with the keyboard dock: mine is the newer type: 221509xxxx and that has different drivers to the ones Phillip posted earlier! I’ll keep trying for a way to download these files myself!
