I’m not sure if you guys are talking about Android or Windows.

If you guys are referring to the Windows OS then I don’t have a problem. My Xbox One & Xbox 360 drivers automatically download through Windows Update and show up as a game pad right after.

The Vi8U and the Hi8 have the same specs but the Hi8 has a better screen correct? If you wanted the same exact performance you could just lower the resolution on the Hi8 making the gpu stress less just like the Vi8U. But I haven’t done research on this so I wouldn’t know for sure.

Hello Simon, I’m not 100% sure that any of these are the correct Hi8 files. I am basically just pointing to where Chuwi’s files are. I picked out the folders that had to do with Hi8 and linked them. The new folders that they have uploaded recently looks more like what we are looking for.

I can’t be sure of anything because of the fact that not all of the Chinese is translated correctly and Chuwi doesn’t really give any support while their forums are garbage. They did however post a link for their firmware in their forums but they had messed up the link and haven’t yet fixed it. I just located their folder on Baidu and started searching from there. I’d take extreme caution while flashing anything since the directions are not exactly English friendly.

They have added more files that may help out a bit more. Here are the images and they are labled as Hi8. The folders I pasted earlier are also labled Hi8 so I’m assuming they share some of the same files.

    New folders added
    Folder contents

I am downloading these now and I will upload. I download pretty fast from baidu so I will have them up before the end of the day.

I located all of the firmware for the device. I was going to do a full restore if I couldn’t get the touch screen to work. My next project is to get Android 5.0 running.

    It works perfectly. Thanks!
This driver has a date of 6/29/2015 – while the ones I injected and the ones from the driver package had a date of 2014. Where did you get this?
Also: Chris – you should upload Viktor’s attachment to the Hi8 downloads for others experiencing this problem.

I managed to keep the touch working by performing a windows 10 upgrade on the 8.1 with bing. But when I did a clean install I get the inverted touch which Is getting somewhat annoying.

I made a wimboot for the latest Windows preview build and even injected all of my previous drivers from the last time my touch screen worked. I downloaded the driver package here and used doubledriver to restore them and nothing. I even tried this method by placing files into system32 but it still seems to not work.

Does anyone know of a fix to my problem?
