I’ve had my thinker for 3 months now, and yesterday was the death of my screen.
It went completely black, no symptoms, no warnings. I can see an outline of my desktop in a pitch black room but otherwise, it’s useless as a laptop.
Do you guys think it could be repaired? Do I need to open up the screen or can the wiring for the diplay be found under the laptop?
October 16, 2017 at 10:17 pm #73470Interesting.
It’s sad cause it’s a beautiful laptop.
Btw my screen has completely died. Completely black. Can barely see the outline of my start menu.
September 17, 2017 at 6:39 am #72229Sorry to hear about your screen. How did that happen if I may ask?
The screen is just a surface pro 4 screen as I’ve heard from Chris so I would think you’d need to look for a surface pro 4 screen.
You can confirm that with anyone else tho cause I’m going with what I heard.
September 16, 2017 at 9:41 pm #72224Hi everyone.
I’m that one guy with the key popping out.
1. Its still my main laptop and I’ve put in days and weeks worth of typing but the partially popped out key remains the same.
It feels like itll come out but it hasn’t so I dont mind.
2. The screen is beautiful I agree, makes the laptop what it is.
My screen also popped out after the first day of use(the lid was partially closed so it was left hanging out the build!) But I sort of fixed it with super glue, bad idea I know.
I have a power bank for it to make it last 8hrs+ but yea I rarely find myself without a outlet nearby anyway.
I can’t see myself getting a 1080p laptop after getting used to this machine. Even tho I have a ultra wide monitor, I enjoy the 3k screen much more.
Do you guys ever see yourselves getting a laptop with less than 3k after using the thinker?

My screen came out a little bit today.
It was slightly closed but not all the way, and I look at it from the sides and the bottom corners were coming out. Both sides.
I pushed it back in and haven’t been able to see it come out again yet but that is not good…!
June 7, 2017 at 9:57 pm #67902Ah I can barely see anything at 100! You guys have superhuman eyes lol.
I’ve set it at like 150 now:)
June 7, 2017 at 9:55 pm #67901I don’t want to return it so I’ll try a partial refund.
Do you think it’s repairable without getting the part from cube cause they are refusing to send me anything except for useless GB points from gearbest lol.
What would you do in my situation? Keep it as it is and wait until it needs to be repaired?
Thanks for the help and responses !
June 2, 2017 at 12:39 pm #67703Update: I figured out it’s the text size settings.
After putting the text size to normal (100%) in the display settings, the resolution test is coming out accurate.
Does anyone actually use their high resolution computers at normal text size?! lol.
“YOU ARE USING
3000 x 2000″June 2, 2017 at 9:26 am #67700I actually pre ordered in April on gearbest before it was stocked. I sent it to Qatar where my dad is and he brought it just recently. So this is the first batch.
It does suck though.
Is it repairable and if it is, do you know what keyboard it is, or any details so I can look for repair it?
May 26, 2017 at 3:56 pm #67450Hi Pilef thanks for the response.
I will definitely get the power bank since you seem to like and recommend it.
Usually you can see the charge rate if you install battery bar if you wanted to check it:)
It seems to only come with the Type c to C cable on the Canadian amazon so I’ll buy a 30w USB c charger separately.
Totally unrelated but related, how the keyboard holding up?
One reviewer on YouTube is complaining about the keys being skipped after fast typing.
He also showed that some of the keys are just getting kind of stuck into the keyboard. Looks disappointing really!
May 22, 2017 at 8:29 pm #67334Also I just noticed that power bank has 9v and 15v. I’m guessing you’re using 9v to charge cube right ? Does it charge even while its in use?
May 22, 2017 at 5:40 pm #67330Thanks for the update @Pilef.
When you said wall charger, are you referring to the one that comes with the powerbank?
And 20% to 100% in 2h with the wall charger right?
I’m thinking about that powerbank, since there’s no other powerbank that has 12v through type c.
May 14, 2017 at 1:13 pm #66931Hey David / Chris
Wouldn’t QC (quick charge) damage Thinker i35 since it doesn’t have it? I read that somewhere, maybe from Chris, I don’t know.
Also what’s the max that Cube’s Thinker type c port can take? 12v, 3a?
April 26, 2017 at 9:07 am #66082I’ve been waiting patiently for this one!
The only concern I have is battery life and if this should be my next main laptop.
I currently have a teclast x2 so this would be quite the upgrade to say the least.
The price seems fair for the screen and specs, though people have mentioned that there are brands out there with similar prices, I don’t think I’ve seen them with the same screen!
July 8, 2016 at 5:22 am #42878Fixed most of my problems..
So I’m just having trouble with the driver. there’s a folder called “windows 10 drivers”.
There are no instructions in this folder on how to install the drivers and there’s a chinese program inside…
How do I install these drivers?
Thanks!
