    Hi Mirek,

Thanks for rom, big improvement on Teclast stock which I had removed, now I’m dual boot again.

Request: can you restore the missing apps setup menu items for SDcard storage (missing from apps list where there should be a column showing apps stored on sdcard, plus individual app properties showing the ‘move to sdcard’ option – both of these are standard stock android items, yet somehow Teclast have either hidden or removed them) I’ve looked in permissions and can’t see anything obvious disabled so I guess the mods go deeper.

see     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUXbYwqXyqk   to better understand what I mean

ever hopeful !   Then we will have a pretty near perfect tablet!

Amazing info for Sd card issue, it works for me. Please see in attachment. J-M.

Tried this, didn’t make any difference still can’t  move apps to sdcard, not listed in apps settings.

What exactly  is this bois fiddling supposed to do? How can it change Android system menus?

    Hi,

following on from earlier post (Dec 20th 11.46) I’ve discovered that the windows installation had the windows ‘fastboot’ enabled by default and that power off  option was set to ‘sleep’, not turn off. I’ve altered these and now the tab seems to power off and on properly, and not get apparently locked with a black screen. I’ve read that UEFI systems can’t handle ‘fastboot’ (or hybernate).  So some progress at last, I now have a working windows 10 half of the tab back. BUT Android is still locked in a boot loop and now for some reason I can’t access DNX Fastboot mode in order to reflash.

I’ve also noticed (‘cos I run the tab with quickboot disabled in the bios so I can see the AMIbios logo at bootup) the letters B4 on the screen just below the AMIbios logo – originally the text was K9C6 ??   I’m wondering now if somehow during the Mirek flash the bios firmware has been changed ??  I tried to do a bios update from usb with the file from this site (v1.13) but I had an error saying it was unsupported.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on here ?   Hello is there anybody there ?????

well, I tried the second file flash.json, left untouched the default configuration: update, and this one worked, flashed it 100% successful, but now windows is missing from boot start menu,

Me too! and worse! When I tried to reload windows something went wrong ‘cos when I rebooted I had a blue screen saying acpi bios error, I shut down and now I have a brick. The tablet is totally dead. I can’t reflash ‘cos it won’t power up, and the battery was nearly full. oh shit! Can anybody help or do I just smash it up.

Weird, my x98 pro came back to life the next day, but stuck in a bootloop with red Chinese characters. I reflashed Model android (having found Intel new android drivers v1.10 on their website), it rebooted back to the dual boot menu (just android), but wouldn’t go any further just rebooting back to the menu. I installed windows 10 (with PE USB drive – forget the crap about 2 drives and a keyboard not needed) and that works perfectly, but the dual boot seemed to disappear. Tab just boots to windows! I tried looking at the partitions and everything seems there, then used the Teclast boot to android tool, which threw my back into a boot loop! I escaped from that by forcing power off (10 seconds hold). When it rebooted I have dual boot menu, but android icon is grey, windows works fine though. So does anybody know what is wrong here, why can’t my system boot android??

    Slowly going crazy here!

Can you indicate which partitions to remove or which one to keep if I only want Win10. There are several partitions andnI don’t want to mess up. Thanks Luc

    Hi,

See screen capture. Leaving the Androidai partition leaves the dual boot option still active should you want to go back to dual boot in the future.

Use the snipping tool to get a screenshot for reference.

    Good luck!

Magel Dai, you must be crazy! Why would you want to get rid of Windows from the x98 pro (it works perfectly) and leave only Android? The Teclast version of Android is useless, read the forums and you will see many of the basic functions of android 5.1 are missing or just don’t work. If you want a good Android tablet don’t buy the x98 pro, buy something else. If you want a good Windows tablet then buy the x98 pro.

    Good luck.

Hi, yes Windows has no problem with 128gb sdxc card, format either ntfs or exfat. For some stupid reason Android can’t see/mount a 128gb card – its 64bit Android 5.1 so it should, but Teclast seem to have removed some native function, apps can’t use any sort of card although file managers can save files there.

    Good luck!

ps mine has just been upgraded by Microsoft to the new version.

Me too! Hadn’t read your post or wouldn’t have done factory reset, win10 is still working ok, but since the reset Android boots into the factory reset green andoid character with text Erasing… above it. I’m stuck too. Does anyone ever read or respond to these forums? Can anyone help….. what do we do here? Note: I haven’t rooted the tablet, but I did notice a ‘su’ file in /system/xbin but root checkers all reported not rooted. I’m wondering if my unit isn’t new and someone else has had it before me….. why else would ‘su’ be installed.]

    Fixed it:

After 5 or 6 reboots to green man! I selected windows. It started fine, then I forced total power down by holding power button for 10 seconds. Then powered on again, selected android and the reset completed. The os was in chinese, easy to fix so now working again. But, still no sdcard acess for apps sven though it is mounted and shows in storage.

Hi, It would be very helpful to check sdcard functionality on both windows and android. Numerous people, like me, are finding that although the sdcard function correctly with windows it doesn’t on Android. In my case a fat32 formatted card up to 64gb will mount, is shown in storage but is invisible to apps so is useless. Big problem!

    Chasing Teclast for a fix.

    Hi,

Have k9c3 latest version. Windows 10 sdcard works perfectly ntfs, exfat up to 128gb full R/W access. Android is very different, up to  64gb (only fat32) is mounted and listed in storage, but not showing in apps list and not present as sdcard storage in apps. Therefore android is seriously crippled sdcard cannot be used at the moment. Teclast need to fix this serious flaw!
