You can always make a voltage divider out of resistors to lower the voltage.

The fact that the line does exist in the bios kinda indicates that it is probably hardware related. You could try to contact the seller to resolve the problem or if you feel comfortable with disassembling the tablet you could check that all the connections are proper.

If you mean IGD turbo, that is a different thing. IGD stands for Integrated Graphics Device so that should lower the gpu performance but cpu stays the same.

I actually flashed mine at something like 3.5V. It would’t read/write at lower voltages  (tried 2.8++), so I am not sure how will it work on  1.8V. But if it flashes at 1.8V I think that the adapter you linked should do the trick. You can also always try to make a voltage divider from resistors as i did. And if either don’t work you can try the 3.3v-5.0v flashing as “last resort”.

In my experience running some high demand tasks, games, etc, still puts it in turbo, even with max cpu state at 99%.

Yes it should be the same but this allows to adjust it within OS, so you can easily turn it on/off depending on demands of application.

No TRL button available on x98 pro (i do have one on my desktop too i5-3570z). So the only working options i found so far are disable turbo(cuts power consumption in half without losing all the performance) or set manual multiplier/voltage.

Clock modulation limiting works ok too but it uses turbo voltage (0.71) on high demand tasks on any cpu clock, this causes high power consumption and heating.

Clock modulation 50%(1.12GHz) Package power 4.2W

Clock modulation 75%(1.68GHz) Package power 5.3W

Clock modulation 87.5%(1.96GHz) Package power 6.0W

What is your tablet version K9C6 or K9C3? Have you measured the battery voltage? If the the battery level is too low (like 3v or something similar) the tablet won’t turn on, you need to wait for it to charge.

Well probably not must but, when i was flashing mine with connected battery it failed, with disconnected it went ok so it might help.

Try holding the power button longer. If write and verify went ok it should work. Did you disconnect the battery while flashing?

Well if you have a eeprom programmer you can read the eeprom. What type of options do you have in CPU configuration? Any wifi options in PCI subsystem settings?

I also had a problem of tablet shutting down without any warning.  After doing some testing of different settings, I tried something user “Dennis van Elteren” posted in other thread:

-Set system cooling policy setting to passive (need to add trough register)

-Set Win10 “Battery Saver” to kick in at something like 65% of battery(system settings)

After doing this I managed to play Fallout:NV until full battery depletion, no crashing/shutdowns and smooth framerate. Max processor state was set at 100% so no downclocking, allmost fulltime turbo. 50% brightness. I have done thermal mod, max temp while playing 85c, average 76c. No throttling on any core.

    I had the same problem.

Turning on the advanced power settings seems to disable sleep mode. In sleep mode battery consumption is smaller and the screen stays off, but with power settings on only screen off or hibernate are available . To revert, try to disable advanced power settings or restore windows to earlier state.

Second day of owning the tab and i managed to brick it.. Apparently updating device firmware through windows device manager was not a good idea(don’t do this, that’s how i ended up in this situation). The tab does not react to any type of button presses/combos. Ordered the clip and programmer, hope the will ship fast and that flashing fixes it.

    Edit:

Okay, took me a while to get everything to work but i managed to reflash the bios chip using arduino duemilanove/serprog/flashrom. I used 1K and 2.2K resistors to get arduinos logic levels within spec. The tablet works now as it should.
