I can’t seem to open the SuperSU and TWRP .7z file. It’s corrupted somehow (i’ve redownloaded it a couple of times just to be sure)
Can you reupload that one :)?
March 1, 2016 at 2:47 pm #27667Hi guys, I don’t have any theory about why does it happen, but I managed to power up my tablet after I had the exact same problem. I couldn’t turn it on no matter what I did, I tried any possible key combination for any period of time while connected and dis-connected to a different chargers and cables but nothing worked. I don’t know why, but I tried to connect the tablet to it’s keyboard, and it turned on immediately! (Well, if we don’t count the windows update “don’t turn of your computer” thing) As I said, I have no idea why did it work, but it did the job for me. I hope it will help someone.
Unfortunately doesn’t work here. What did you guys do with your tablets? Asked the seller for a refund or something else?
February 18, 2016 at 10:28 pm #26436In my charger there is this distinctive pitch (just a random charger), and as soon as i press the power button of the chuwi, its changes its pitch. So we know that there is still stuff going on in the motherboard, and that the battery is still working. Im still trying to find out what’s wrong but its not that simple..
Btw, the problem started to exist after i let my tablet charge way over its 100% (I charged it a bit too long). When did your problems started to happen?
February 18, 2016 at 4:05 pm #26397I have tried desoldering positive wire and waiting few mins and then soldering back. No changes. I think it’s a hardware problems. It does not even charge usb devices if trying to power on. Chuwi support is as bad as it could be. Writing to them is like throwing your mail through the window to the street..
That is what i was planning to do, nice that you already did it. Too bad it didn’t fix anything.. 🙁
February 17, 2016 at 4:02 pm #26290I have the same problem. I opened up the Chuwi to try the solution mentioned above (removing the battery connector). Unfortunately, the chuwi doesn’t have such a connector. The battery is just soldered on to the board..
So unfortunately, still no solution.
January 22, 2016 at 2:40 pm #23351That’s why you should never pre-order.
Reason one is indeed that after 45 days, there is no posibility to ask paypal for a dispute. And reason 2: the first batch of a new tablet is usually always filled with problems, so always wait for the second or third batch! 🙂
January 19, 2016 at 4:33 pm #22999Yes, there is a fix. Go into your speaker properties, click system effects and uncheck “Enable Speaker Equalizer”. Then click apply, and done!
January 12, 2016 at 11:48 pm #22123Bit of a performance improvement over the last build, antutu score of 76458 on 2.01 and 77731 on 3.0
It’s the opposite on mine: 81637 on v1 (about the same on v2, didn’t take screenshot), 76538 on v3 (tested after fresh boot). I dirty flashed V3 on v2.01, maybe it’s because of that ?
On v1 was such score because cpu was works on full speed almost all the time ( heat problem ) – 60 % or more Now on v3 cpu on full speed is only 1 -10 % and trying keep low frequencies. Rom is made to run as fast as possible and save battery – no to get as much as possible in benchmarks … If you want as high score as possible use performance scheduler …
Hello,
As you might know, the X98 Plus Dualboot version will be released soon (in a week or so). Can the ROM be ported to that device too? The difference between the Pro and Plus is the CPU (Pro has Z8500, and Plus Z8300)
January 12, 2016 at 11:43 pm #22122It is on presale on GearBest: X98 Plus Dual Boot Presale Does anybody know of a working Coupon \ Discount? Everything I try is either Invalid, expired or just raises the total price. Thanks!
Coupons rarely work at Gearbest/Everbuying (same company). If there is already a discount on something (in this case, there isn’t, but they try to make it looks like it costs $50 more normally), coupons don’t work and the percentage will be off the ‘original’ price (in this case $250 or something).
I would wait untill they are sold on Banggood (which will be the 16th probably), there you can use coupons and make the price drop by 7%!
January 10, 2016 at 5:44 pm #21828Looks like a rebranded Onda V891w! There are drivers available on the internet, for that device 🙂
