@edoardo , I was in a similar situation; try the tracking number you were given, at Flyt Express, in my case they had used that service to get to Singapore as Banggood are in China:

May 15, 2016 at 1:14 pm #37408@Flubski , you may find that after it is booted in to fastboot that the OS no longer recognises the device, as happened to me. If this is the case, you will need to install an extra driver. Check the device manager (if in Windows) whilst the the device is connected and in fastboot mode, mine said something like ‘Cherry Trail CR’ with the yellow exclamation mark indicating no driver was installed. See this link for further details and the Windows driver:

*Just realised you said TL as opposed to TD, the driver would likely still work, though the rest of the instructions perhaps not
May 6, 2016 at 3:01 pm #36280@Andrew – When I rooted android using jetfin’s instructions, Windows needed different drivers when the tablet was in fastboot mode, you may be in a similar scenario. Check this link for details :

May 5, 2016 at 12:37 pm #36172I ordered a Cube iwork10 Ultimate from Banggood.com, I paid 15$AU extra for EMS shipping (7-15 days) :
- Order Submitted Apr/19/
- (Shipped Apr/21/)*
- Shipped Apr/25/
- Arrived May/03
*The order detail page initially said Shipped Apr/21/2016, and was changed to the 25th on the 25th when it arrived at Singapore Speedpost. I was given the Singapore Speedpost tracking number on the 21st, and the order detail had a link to Singapore Post to track it, though after several days of no tracking information was appearing. So, I did some sleuthing in forums which eventuated in my tracking via the same no. at Flyt Express, whom I found that they were using to get the parcel to Singapore. Ideally, they should have have linked to Flyt Express for tracking initially, then changed it to Singapore Post.
Overall:
- 14 days from ordering to arrival in Australia is great, and within the agreed upon time for the extra shipping charge
- Price was competitive with the tablet coupon (acquired from an ad at this site)
- Communication upon querying the changed shipping date was poor, yet we got there in the end
- Tracking confusion needs to be fixed
Recommended.
April 30, 2016 at 7:19 am #35590Heh, sorry to hear of your woes. Seeing no mention of battery issues (and barely any other issues) in the TT iwork10 forum helped me select that instead. I may have dodged a bullet somewhat. It will be interesting to see Chris’s take on the Hi8 Pro dualOS when he receives it.
April 28, 2016 at 4:29 pm #35387Yes, great work Laura, and jetfin. I have this bookmarked ready to use when mine arrives.
April 22, 2016 at 12:49 am #34610I have decided upon a Cube iwork10 Ultimate, it is on it’s way; thanks again for the input guys. And again, Chris, thanks for the site, I’ll be recommending it.
April 17, 2016 at 10:14 am #33884Thanks for adding your information @Daan Kroon. I recall seeing on a video on this site that battery bar can misread sometimes, hopefully you have not already lost capacity on your battery. Just keep in mind lithium ion basics to ensure longevity, ie. don’t leave the battery completely discharged or completely charged for long periods. Eg. If you are charging whilst the tablet is in use and it is at 100%, unplug it for awhile, and if you are going to not be using your tablet for awhile, leave it at around 40% – 50% charge. I was recently looking in to re-calibrating my phone battery; I am not sure if you have specifically tried this: Completely deplete the battery, *charge it to 100% with the OS off*, boot and (if it shows less than 100% in OS) charge it to 100%, and repeat that procedure.
Though it is sounding like the new batch of Hi 8 Pro’s are better, I’ll wait for Chris’s opinion upon him receiving his, which apparently will be soonish.
April 11, 2016 at 4:03 pm #33054@Ryan, thanks for the information. Yeah, I heard about the first batch via this site, I was hoping they have fixed it in the dual OS version, as it really seems like my cup of tea. Sorry to hear about your nausea, I hope you work out a solution.
@Chris, great site, I have found it very useful. I might hold off and see what you think of it, that way I will have two informed opinions. -
