If you are talking about the Windows 8 drivers, those are not a solution, but a temporary patch, because both reading and writing speed are terribly low with that.

    Maybe I have missed something…

After trying a lot of cards, the only one that worked for me in both OS is a Samsung 64GB EVO, currently in NFTS format.

    Good luck

For me was exactly the same but after three reboots all is right now.

The way I do it last time was:

Once the device manager detect an install the update, uncheck automatically reboot, close device manager and reboot manually.

Wait the bios update process (black screen with white letters) until it ask you to press a key and then press one of the volume buttons.

Restart device and go to bios (Power + Volume Up)

    Reset bios to defaults.

That way the update get finished and Firmware don’t have yellow mark anymore.

The only problem is that my 64GB Samsung SD still not recognized. Error 10 as before.

Thanks you very much Yi-Ping Huang and also to CpA and Neil for your clarifications.

If that bios is not 3.03 but 3.00, my assumption was totally wrong and we will need to keep waiting…

Sorry I bother you for nothing.

If I understand correctly the half-backed google translation, Bios 3.04 is applied as a driver update and only possible if you have previously bios 3.03.

And it looks like Bios 3.03 for A5C8 (should be flashed the old way) is there to be download from Baidu:

    April 12 update
X98 Plus(A5C8)的先用【X98 Plus(A5C8)_解决WIN系统识别TF卡问题】BIOS修复,问题依旧再回帖反应(仅限A5C8其它型号勿用) X98 Plus (A5C8) first with [X98 Plus (A5C8) _ solve WIN system identification TF card issue] BIOS fix the problem persists then Replies reaction (A5C8 other models do not use only). 补丁地址: http://pan.baidu.com/s/1jHocCN8

Problems is that you have to be registered at Baidu to download and I thing that is to much to be done just with Google translate….

If some kind chinesse speaker manage to upload this bios here, maybe we will be able to flash it and get ready to apply the firmware update procedure.

    Just my assumption…

Samsung evo+ 128gb ntfs reformated (out of the box it is exfat – good only for Windows), after bios update + Windows latest update and on mirek190 v2.1 custom rom is fine on both Windows and Android. Any clue how to mount this sd to move apps from internal sd? App2sd and similar options fail.

¿What do you mean with Windows latest update?

I do exactly that a few times until the tablet get detected.

Boot to DNX first, then connect to computer. And try a few times. It is really a bit tricky, but eventually it will work.

I’m sorry if question are a little stupid, but:

Have you installed drivers and the Intel Flasher in the host computer (as it should) or in tablet?

When you boot in DNX mode apear a yellow label “DNX waiting” or something like that over the Teclast Logo?

    Yesterday Update in  Teclast BBS:

    3月29日进度更新
    第一批问题调查机器已经收到,已转交给技术同事。感谢配合台电菌工作各位~
    另外关于调查召回的机器,我们确定TF卡问题以后,都会马上由总部寄回新品的,请大家放心。

I seem that tech department has received a batch of X98 to make some trials, but part of the google translation is a mess.

Did someone here understand what they really say?

    Thanks.

Have you try to flash rom again?

My first Mirek rom flash fail, don’t know why, and after second try everything works as it should.

If Android don’t boot you will need to flash with SuperCowz flash_tool_x98_PLUS_v1.1 :

    I totally agree with GAL.

Open the source of your software and thousands of developers here, at XDA and in other tech forums, will help Teclast to get the most of their products and also will attract a lot of customers for you.

I will never buy a device if there is not a huge advanced user base working with it at techy forums.

Regarding hardware, fix drivers problem is a must. Also provide good accesories.

We really need a fix for SD Card problems and a USB Hub that could be used and charge at same time.

    Best whishes for your company.

My card is a Samsung 64GB SDXC and I am having problems like most of us, so brand is not a guaranty…

if I remember well all procedure is done in maximum 5 minutes.

But stay in the safe side. Don’t do it with battery below 50%.

I applied the bios update yesterday and after that my Samsung 64GB SD was perfectly working in Windows.

Android detect it, but don’t give you access until you delete it. That format it as fat 32 making it visible for both systems.

It as been working like that and without problems whole day (intensive copy of files to it) but at the end I decided to root android and after doing it and going back to Windows problems return and I get a card fault in the middle of a file copy proccess….

Could this be in some way related to the rooting or is just a casualty?
