I have the exact same problem of him, but I don’t understand why because i’m running the full version… To have the full version of it, are we agree you just have to double click on “Professionnal Key x86” and thats all ? Thank you very much ! Edit : I just added the screenshot
Yes, thats all for the full version. From your screenshot it seems everything is okay and you just need to click apply on the upper left?

August 3, 2015 at 3:40 pm #8367I can’t make a video because this process is irreversible. I forgot to make a video at that time. Maybe you can see my post with the picture in xda thread
August 1, 2015 at 3:23 pm #8199How to override auto brightness in Windows:
Even though you have turn off auto brightness in power option, there is still one auto brightness feature enabled and quite tricky to find and disable it. I find it quiet annoying because when i am using my tablet to view photos, i am not getting accurate color from the screen.
1. Right click at Desktop > Graphic properties
2. Click Video, on upper left position, look for small drop down arrow beside ‘Video’ and select Image Enhancement
3. At right hand side, disable Film Mode Detection.
I find this culprit by accident. Hope it is useful.
July 27, 2015 at 4:05 pm #7625When Windows 8 came, i insists to use Windows 7 for few years. I was afraid with Win 8 radical changes make me out of comfort zone in Windows 7
Now that i am using Win 8.1 (at least in the tablet), i am afraid of Windows 10 make me need to changes many things here and there again. lol.
July 27, 2015 at 3:54 pm #7621I feel like the 64GB version are unreasonably more expensive for offering “just” 32GB more eMMC drive. For the extra one can get a 64GB microSD card easily
Well believe me, if you haven’t buy the tablet, and have extra budget, you should really take the 64GB version. it is not just about the storage size, which is indeed easy to get a high capacity microsd, but for futureproof-ness of the tablet. Windows system not only need space for installing program, but many service and temporary files stored in many directories, not to mention the Windows update will eat your space quite big.
You pay around 35 USD more for the 64GB version, I think it’s almost worth it as it will be much faster than a microsd card which has limited write and read speeds of around 23mb/s. I haven’t tested the 64GB myself, I can’t justify buying one just to test the eMMC which is the only difference. I’ll update the review and common on the keyboard scratching up the screen. Mine looks a mess, so I removed the screen protector and it seems it don’t seem to scratch up as much, the screen protector is quite soft. I now place a cloth between the keyboard and screen when moving it about. My Chuwi Vi10 is my most used Chinese tablet, the keyboard + usb ports and speed are its best feature. If only Chuwi make an upgraded one with a new Cherry trail Atom, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 and 1080p screen.
Yes sir, i agree that screen protector is too soft, can’t withstand friction with the keyboard. Also the rubber pad in the end is too thin which can’t provide enough gap between keypad and screen’s surface.
Ever thinking to change with higher quality screen guard? maybe get one for Surface RT (as the screen size is same and maybe better choice of protector’s brand)
July 27, 2015 at 3:44 pm #7615Not being a brand minded, but from my experience, Transcend cards have better compatibility with devices when my sandisk/a-data cards showing problem. It really works great in Vi10.
I use 32Gb microsdhc transcend uhs-1 card
July 27, 2015 at 3:40 pm #7610By the way, here is the link to my post in XDA thread. Same tutorial. It is easier to read, with some picture to help:

July 27, 2015 at 3:36 pm #7608Excellent guide! Do you think this could apply to other Chuwi tablets? I’m thinking of doing this with my Hi8. The guide specifically warns about touching the recovery partition but could it not be mentioned that those actually can be deleted to save an additional ~ 6GB of space but *ONLY* if you have done the steps to move the recovery data and created a bootable recovery USB. That could be the second guide to follow after removing Android from your tablet to maximize space for Windows.
yes sir, the 6GB recovery partition is also able to be deleted but i suggest to keep it unless you really know what are you doing. i haven’t try in anoter tablet but Chris say it might be work.
I’m the dumbest person on Earth. I really should have created a recovery USB.
Oh i am sorry to hear that! I wonder what is wrong. Did you follow step no.3 correctly? have you restart your computer after creating 9.2GB partition?
July 27, 2015 at 3:11 pm #7602Hi, 1. The Chuwi as you now has glass on both sides. So the Pipo W3F might be a better choice. The keyboards on both tend to scratch up the screen protectors, so might pay to place a cloth between the keyboard and screen when moving about. 2. On my Chuwi when I restored Windows, it had an English option on reboot. The image did have English in my case. Android you can run the factory reset and it has English. I think you’ll be safe, if not you can install English on these ones. The Onda’s and some other ones had issues. Not this Chuwi in my experience. 3. Got mine from Gear Best, its activated with Windows 8.1 Bing and I now run Windows 10 on it. (Insider Win 10 – > Now to full Windows 10 and activated.) 4. People have tried in our root thread for the Chuwi Vi10, none have had any luck. The DPI isn’t the best for the screen. I removed Android on mine so I can’t test, sorry! Hope this helps.
If only i knew the screen is easy to scratched by the keyboard. My screen protector is heavily scratched and looks very ugly. I usually put my Vi10 in a messenger bag. The worst part is near the keyboard spring connector, middle of screen. Now i but some foam tape in the elevated part of keyboard such as top lid near the spring pin and beside the touchpad. Luckily i have spare protector included from seller.
Slightly off topic, have you tried Vi10 64GB version, Chris? I wonder if the eMMC performance is better or at least, same with 32GB version.
I am running out of space even with Android uninstalled.
