I now have mine for a few weeks. I have two main problems, the most annoying is when it boots, it gives you a choice of windows or android, but the selection does not work. It gives a 10 second countdown but does not respond to choice. After boot, you can then change operating system. Is there a firmware problem?
According to review page for hi8
” And if volume down is held on boot, you can choose which OS you want using the volume keys to select and power to start. “
May 31, 2016 at 11:53 pm #39412Can’t be used on T-Mobile US. T-Mobile uses 1900 for 2G and 1900 for 3G.
This tablet 2G 900, 1800; 3G 900, 2100.
April 4, 2016 at 11:40 pm #32036Doesn’t this disable the trackpad entirely? I still want to use it, just without the edge swipes.
Yes. You are correct. It would disable it entirely. Sorry, no ideas for you.
April 4, 2016 at 4:06 am #31882March 31, 2016 at 6:54 pm #31531Great list! The only thing that I would add is a USB 3.0 hub. I bought a portable unpowered one: http://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-Portable-MacBook-Windows-HB-SGAR/dp/B00IRV2DL8?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00 as well as a powered one with charging ports: http://www.amazon.com/Aukey-4-Port-Smart-Charging-Ports/dp/B00KOHKRXE?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
Also, purely for fun, I wrapped my tablet in carbon-fiber-like vinyl and added a dragon decal. See attached photo. Wrapped my mouse with leftover material. Waiting for my docking keyboard. I don’t do any gaming, so not worried about trapping heat with the vinyl wrap.

How did you test to see if there is charge in the battery?

March 23, 2016 at 7:42 pm #30606. Other problems is that tablet have HUGE problems (re)starting – for example:
- I choose restart – system closes, tries to start and…
- nothing happens
- so I have to turn it off by long holding power button
- sometimes it is able to start again, sometimes I have to long hold power button few times before it finally starts
windows 10 is working without problems no device problems Could anyone help? At current state this table is barely usable.
There is a known Windows 10 issue where sometimes it boots up to a black lock screen. If you see the Chuwi logo flash and start to boot up, then end up with a black screen, try pressing Ctrl> then your PIN/password>Enter. Wait a few seconds to see if you get your screen back.
March 23, 2016 at 7:36 pm #30605Ok, so my BIOS is for 3000+ but links You have provided are broken – I was able to take them from original post You have linked… thanks for that! Would be nice if You fix links from your post.
Within a few minutes of posting, I realized that the links were broken and fixed them. You likely clicked on the post while I was still trying to fix them. They should all be working now.
March 23, 2016 at 7:33 pm #30603UNOFFICIAL DRIVERS/FILES:
GRAPHICS DRIVER UPDATE
Posted by @Alex in http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/potential-solutions-to-some-hi10-issues/
Here is a driver update posted by Alex that he got from Chuwi China forum that is supposed to fix screen flicker problem in those with a 64 bit tablet only. He is currently testing it on his Hi10. If you choose to download and install, do at your own risk at this time.
Intel(R) HD Graphics_20.19.15.4352
March 23, 2016 at 4:11 pm #30577I’d like to try flashing BIOS but which is the correct one for me?
I just posted this. Hope it helps you: http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/official-chuwi-hi-10-drivers-system-and-bios-files/
There is an explanation of how to choose the correct BIOS.
March 23, 2016 at 5:16 am #30495Yes I am currently using this graphic driver 20.19.15.4352, update from ver 4331. I got it from Chuwi China forum and it seems this driver can solve the screen flicker problem, i need to test it for a few more days though. This driver is for 64 bit only.
Thank you, Alex! I have added your link to the original post with a notation that you are still testing it. Please give us an update on how it is working and if it does fix screen flickering and black screen issues. I can typically cause screen flickering or black screen if tablet goes into sleep mode in the middle of a program. I got screen flicker after tablet went to sleep when I was on a Word document and when I paused streaming a movie. Looking forward to your update in a few days.
March 23, 2016 at 2:16 am #30485My tablet was automatically pushed a graphics driver update on 3/02/16

Try this driver: Intel(R) HD Graphics_20.19.15.4352
interesting … my driver version is 20.19.15.4331.
Alex- are you currently using 20.19.15.4352 on your Hi10 and is it working well?
Sunlog – did you try going to Device Manager>Display Adaptors>Intel(R) HD Graphics, right click> Update Driver Software?
March 23, 2016 at 1:57 am #30483To restore hibernation option:
First, if necessary, enable hibernate via command posted by Chris above.
Then:
Settings>System>Power and Sleep>Additional Power Settings>Choose what the power buttons do
You can choose various options for power button, sleep button and closing the lid: Do Nothing, Sleep, Hibernate, Shut Down.
If you want to restore the hibernation option when powering down from the Windows start menu, click “Change settings that are currently unavailable”, scroll down and check mark “Hibernate: show on power menu”. Click Save Changes. Reboot. You should be able to to see hibernate option on Power menu on start screen.
If you want to configure the tablet to Hibernate after a certain period of time in sleep:
Settings>System>Power and Sleep>Additional Power Settings>Change when computer sleeps>Change advanced power settings> Sleep>Hibernate after
then choose period of time to pass before tablet goes into hibernation mode.
